| Abstract: | The diplomats in the Spring and Autumn Period formed a special group, whose knowledge, thoughts and language had a great impact on thinkers of later generations. Their elegance, gentleness and incisive language were highly valued and imitated by later generations too. These characteristics of diplomatic language were relevant to the admiration for Rites during the Spring and Autumn Period. |
