语言学的哲学境界

语言学与哲学的渊源已久，两者不能完全割裂开来。一方面，语言学为哲学服务，另一方面，哲学思想推动语言研究的发展。19世纪末20世纪初，西方哲学发生“语言转向”，经过一百多年的发展，形成泛语言哲学的研究态势。尽管“语言哲学”这个术语包含着不同的含义，但还是应分为“语言学哲学”和“哲学语言学”两大类。哲学需要研究语言来解决哲学问题，语言学同样需要进行哲学性思考，两者互为影响并促进各自的发展。随着语言学家对语言哲学思考的逐步加深，哲学语言学正在使语言学进入前所未有的哲学境界。

The Philosophical State of Linguistics

Linguistics has been associated with philosophy very far back in time, and they can＇t be separated completely from each other. On one hand linguistics serves philosophy and on the other hand philosophical thought promotes the development of language studies. In the late 19th century and early 20＇h century, ＂the Linguistic Turn＂ of western philosophy came up, forming generic language philosophy with more than 100 years development. Although philosophy of language contains different meanings, it should be divided into two main categories, Philosophy of linguistics and Philosophical linguistics. Philosophy needs to study the language to solve philosophical problems, and linguistics al- so needs philosophical thinking. They affect and promote each other＇s development. With the research of philosophy of language by linguist deepened, philosophy of language is leading linguistics into un- precedented philosophical state.
