美国华裔与美国对华政策

华人是美国人口增长迅速的少数族裔之一 ,但它对美国政治的影响远不如犹太人。文章通过对华人和犹太人的比较 ,说明华人在基本条件上、对政治的关心上、政见的统一上都有着种种弱点。再加上中美两国政治制度的差异 ,华人不得不受美国政治环境的限制 ,难以对美国对华政策施加积极有效的影响。相反 ,一些华人却对美国对华政策产生了消极的作用。但历史和现实都说明 ,一个良好的中美关系对华人有利 ,否则黄皮肤容易受到歧视。因此 ,随着华人对政治权力意识的增长 ,他们势必会成为维护中美关系的一支力量。

Chinese Americans and the US' China policy

Chinese Americans are one of the minority groups, which is growing fast in population, but influencing the American politics far less than that of the Jewish people. Comparatively Chinese Americans have certain weaknesses in their basic social conditions, especially in the concern for politics and in their social viewpoints. They are also subject to restrict by the political environment in the US due to the discrepancy of the political systems of the two countries, so they are not likely to exert a positive effect upon the US' China policy, but some negative ones sometimes. However, history and reality show that a good relationship will benefit Chinese Americans. Otherwise, they are subject to discrimination because of their yellow skin. With the better of the position of Chinese Americans in the political society, Chinese Americans will become an active force to promote Sino-US relations.
