论王充的史学功能观

王充是我国古代一位伟大的思想家,他对史学的功能有自己的见解,认识到史学对社会、国家、人生修养等都有重要作用。他不仅提出了对《春秋》褒贬功能的看法,认识到史学的主要功用在于“载人之行,传人之名”,达到“惩恶劝善”,提出撰写史书要如实记载;而且认识到发挥这一功用必须注意方式方法;还说明了历史知识的重要性,强调史学要有益于国,可补于化。这些理论成就对中国史学理论的发展起到了一定的推动作用,至今仍有借鉴意义。

Doing Not Acting, Following Not Fabricatting--WANG Chong' s View on Function of Historiography

WANG Chong is an ancient great thinker in China.He had his understanding about some historiography functions.He considered that historiography had significant effects and meanings on social, country and personal quality. He gave his views about appraised-func-tions of "CHUNQIU" ,and recognized that the main historiography function was to write person's actions and pass person's fame.This was to punish evil-doers and encourage people to do good. For this,he put forward that writing history must be fit for the real history. He not only discussed the historiography function but also realized that we must notice ways when we used this function. He talked about the importance of historical knowledge, and emphasized that historiography must be useful to country and social. This theoretical achievement brought about motive action for the growing of china/s historiography and historical theory. Now, this is worth reference.
