| Abstract: | Metacognitive strategy plays a dominant role in the system of learning strategies and is the key to cultivating students' ability of autonomous learning. This essay analyzes the weakness of the English majors' ability of autonomous learning and the causes for it and then suggests that it is crucial to strengthen the guidance and training of the students' ability of autonomous learning. |
