意识流小说艺术创新论

作为现代小说的一种主要形式，意识流小说具有很强的创新性：在创作模式上，它主要以隐喻式的话语表现个体的人的全部意识领域，以及隐藏在种种个体意识之后的原始意象；它的叙述视角可以是单一的或多重的，多重叙述视角可以互相转换，其叙述方式主要有两种，即内心独白和自由间接手法；在结构上，它模仿诗歌结构的空间化和整一性，音乐结构的循环性和对位法，尤其是音乐的表情性，使小说表达出语言本身所无法言传的情感和意义。

The Innovation of Stream of Consciousness

As a major mode of modern fiction, stream of consciousness is strongly innovative. It aims to reproduce the full spectrum of a character's mental process with metaphorical words, and to expose the primary images beneath the diverse processes of consciousness. It is always narrated from a single or multiple points of view, and encompasses two kinds of frequently adopted narration, interior monologue and free indirect style. The imitation of poetic integration and spatial form, and that of musical circularity and counterpoint, especially its emotionality, enables the novel to create meaning and emotions that is beyond words.
