A Comparative Analysis of the Word Formation of Russian and Chinese Youth Slangs

Slang,as a link between formal and informal language,is a linguistic phenomenon shared by all the languages in the world.Thus,Russian and Chinese are not exceptional.The youth slang itself has no dependent system of phonetics,word formation.Instead,phonetics and vocabulary of standard language are modified to express impressive feelings.The study on slangs enables us to deeply understand current affairs of both countries,to follow the trend of times and skillfully use the vocabulary in different language context.The paper selects some slangs which are very popular in the young people and also discusses their ways of word formation as well as principles of word formation.
