General Catologue of Other Collections of the Qing Dynasty,as the first big reference book for the overall presentation of the existing editions of the personal collections in the Qing Dynasty and autobiographical materials of the concerning writers,presents a detailed account of the numbers and distribution of other personal collections of the Qing writers as contrasted with the general collection.Therefore it provides scholars with comparatively accurate,reliable sources of reference and access of researches.For this vast reference book compiled under limited conditions,it would be unfair to carry on severe criticism of its occasional lack of certain facts or occurrence of certain mistakes of materials.What is listed here as regarded the life experiences of several writers can only be seen as an attempt to improve the accuracy of the book with the correction of several minor mistakes.
