张东荪定位儒学的三个前提

摘    要:张东荪对儒学的定位是一种典型的“儒学退缩论” ,主张儒学从治国平天下的领域从“外王”的领域退出来 ,只管修身 (至多管到齐家 ) ,只管“内圣” ,只管“内心修养一方面” ,只管“个人心安理得的做人方面” ;治国平天下则完全仰仗科学与民主 ,完全仰仗西方文化 ,仰仗这个“整个儿的理智性的文化”。东荪先生如此定位儒学是取决于三个前提 :一是东荪先生对儒学之实质的理解 ,二是其对整个现代文明的理解 ,三是其对现代政治之实质的理解

Abstract:Zhang Dongsun's orientation of Confucianism is a typical theory of Confucian recession.He claims that Confucianism should retreat from the idea of "governing the country","harnessing the state" and "seeking official rank" and should only be confined to the thought of "self-cultivation"(at most "reglating the family") and the concern of "moral integrity" in order to achieve inner peace and personal virtues.As for governing the country and harnessing the state totally it's necessary to resort to science,democracy ,western culture with integral rationality.The author maintains that Zhang Dongsun's orientation is based on 3 premises:First,his understanding of the essence of Confucianism; Second,his analysis of modern civilization;Last,his perception of modern politics.
