就《中国文学的历史与审美》谈文学史的撰写

On Writing Literary History with Reference to the Book"The History and Beauty Appreciation of Chines Literature

It has been generally agreed in the academic circle that the study of ancient Chinese literary history is either merely collection of materials or heavily influenced by different schools of thought. Consequently the quality of the study is far from being satisfactorily professional. Thus, the author recommends a new ed "His History and Beauty Appreciation of Chines Literature". The author points out that ideas of this book are organed in a framework of history-philosophy- culture, pointing to the direction of aesthetic analysis, and dwelling on the course of development in aesthetics in China. The stage of the mind is emphasized, and the approach used to explain is an open one from the perspective of integrating the vision and the situation. The author holds that this be starts a new tendency of writing literary history.
