实践美学与现代性问题

按照精神实质,现代性可分为启蒙现代性和哲学现代性(审美现代性),后者是对前者的反思和批判。从现代性视角来看,实践美学是古典美学,其古典性表现在理性、主体性、人类中心论、科学方法论、审美超越的缺乏、乐观主义历史进步观、古典自由观、现实主义文艺观等方面。由于其思想资源来自西方古典美学,实践美学无法回应审美现代性的一系列问题。

Practical Aesthetics and Modernity

According to its spiritual nature, modernity can be classified into two kinds: modernity in enlightenment and philosophical modernity (aesthetic modernity), the latter is the reflection and animadversion of the former. Viewed in the perspective of modernity, practical aesthetics belongs to classical aesthetics. The classicality of practical aesthetics are as follows: subjectivity of logos, human-centeredness, scientific methodology, optimistic historical development attitude, classical freedom, realistic approach to literature and arts, and the lack of aesthetic transcending. Since its thinking resources came from western classical aesthetics, practical aesthetics cannot answer the series of questions raised by modernity.
