| Abstract: | This paper probes into Mencius's "The Kindness of Human Nature" theory in the following fore aspects.Firstly, the "human nature" in Mencius's "The Kindness of Human Nature" refers to the nature of human beings, a kind of inborn dynamic subjectivity; secondly,Mencius's theory on human nature comprises two layers of a continuum, that is, one is that human nature tending to be kind indicates the self-awareness of the noumenon of human beings,while the other is that it shows the self-awareness of efforts in human beings; thirdly, Mencius's theory of human nature is an inheritance and development of Confucius's ideology of "Benevolence". |
