Probing into Tao Menghes Pseudonyms

Tao Menghe is a modern famous intellectual, the founder of China ’s sociology discipline and an important member in the circles of idealogy around 1930s. His works are prolific involving society, education, history, culture, economy, internal & external politics, psychology, journalism and library science. This paper examines Tao Menghe’s pseudonyms “Mingsheng”, “AB” and “Menghe”, and his articles published in newspapers and periodicals under these three pseudonyms. It also points out the mistakes about Tao Menghe’s pseudonyms in some reference books. T he study is indispensable for the study of both Tao Menghe and various newspapers and periodicals.
