北朝碑志所见北方少数民族之汉化

以鲜卑族为代表的北方少数民族在中古之逐步汉化是中国民族发展史上的重大事件,而其进程前后持续三个多世纪,则具体过程之困难概可想见。本文通过北朝碑志对这一历史过程进行了考察,分别从族源出处、文武转化、人际伦理等方面揭示出少数民族在接受汉化的过程中所面临的复杂挑战以及其内在的矛盾与冲突。文章最后指出,尽管面临种种矛盾与问题,但总的历史趋势却是向着民族大融合的方向发展,这种大融合为后来隋唐盛世的出现奠定了重要的基础。

The amalgamation of nationality in mediaeval times is an important event in Chinese history.The fact that the amalgamation of nationality lasts three centuries shows that the amalgamation is very difficult.The paper reviews the amalgamation by many north-dynasty epitaphs and indicates that the minorities face a series of challenges and conflicts.Last,the paper points out that though there were many challenges and conflicts,the amalgamation of nationality was accomplished,thus laying the foundation for the arrival of the prosperous periods of the Sui and Tang Dynasties.
