| 摘 要： | 莎士比亚在中国的早期译介(1856-1920)经历了西方传教士的最初评介、清末思想家的大力倡导和清末翻译家和演艺界的改译和演绎几个阶段,莎士比亚作品在中国的传播和译介深受目的语文化语境的影响。目的语读者需求和目的语社会的政治意识形态是造成莎剧中国化的重要影响因素。

| Abstract: | The early Shakespearean translation in China (1856-1920) undergoes several stages-its initial introduction by western missionaries,its enthusiastic advocacy by great thinkers at late Qing Dynasty as well as its adapted translating and staging by translators and artists.The spreading and translating of Shakespearean plays are greatly influenced by the Chinese culture context,which adapts foreign cultures to cater to its own need.The important factors for the Sinicized Shakespearean plays include the target reader's demand and the political ideology of the target culture. |
