Study on the Economic Integration of Dongting Lake Region

The economic integration of the lake region is good for accelerating the economic development of middle reaches of Changjiang River, readjusting the productive layout of Hunan Province, renewing the ecologic function of the lake region, pushing forward the regional economic cooperation and optimizing the industrial layout of the lake region. The economic integration of Dongting Lake Region bases on the integration of the environmental functions, the similar structure of nature resources, the sameness of the exploitive history, the similarity of the industrial structure and the same source of social cultures. The basic targets are to prevent flood and reduce disasters,exploit the region and develop the regional markets. The main measures are to establish large enterprise groups, to invest jointly in major projects and develop the regional markes.
