东方文化发展的大趋势

东方文化的三大体系 (中国文化、印度文化、伊斯兰阿拉伯文化 )在历史上的双向交流 ,相互影响和渗透 ,形成了相互包融的重精神、轻物质的东方价值观。这一价值观受到西方文化的挑战 ,又面对现代化的严重考验 ,必须完成现代重构 ,要求在两个方面作出努力 :一是完成东方传统价值观的现代转换 ,二是将西方价值观中的合理因素融入东方文明。新加坡的儒家伦理运动和巴哈伊教的现代转换 ,已提供了初步的成功经验。面对世界性的精神危机 ,人类必须要有一系列普世的价值观和精神原则加以引导 ,加快世界文化一体化过程 ,以促进精神文明和物质文明并举协调的发展

The General Trend of the Oriental Cultural Development

The three great systems of the Oriental culture (Chinese culture,Indian culture and Islamic Arabian culture),through their historical interchanges,one another's influences and penetration,has formed one another's contained Oriental value paying attention to spirit and looking down upon materials,which is undertaking the challenge from the Occidental culture,and which,at the same time,is facing the severe test of modernization.Efforts require to be made in two aspects in order to complete its reconstruction:one is to fulfil the modern conversion of Oriental conventional value,the other is to merge the rational factors in the Occidental value into the Oriental civilization.The Confucian ethics movement in Singapore and the modern conversion of Bahayi Religion have provided successful preliminary experience.Facing the worldwide spiritual crisis,man must take a series of universal values and spiritual principles as his leading guide and quicken the identity process of the world culture so as to promote the harmonious development of both spiritual and material civilizations.
