The view of original sin,which began from the birth of human beings,has its special individualism of the writer himself in Hawthorne's Scarlet Letter,in which Hawthorne repeatedly makes a thorough inquiry of the following questions through the fate of several main heroes and heroines: "Who is the real sinner?" "What is the souse of the sin?" and has given us answers out of ordinary: Hester Prynine,who is unable to holdback her enthusiasm,and Dimmesdale,who has committed a crime of concealment are not the real sinners.The real sinner is Roger Chillingworth,who has committed a crime of "investigating the soul of others".And the sourse of sin is exactly those Puritanism rulers,who regard themselves as infallible and have the right to judge others' sin.
