宋代牢城军初探

在“崇文抑武”的大背景下，宋代民众只是将从军当成最后的谋生手段。由于军人社会地位低下，宋军兵源不能得到及时、有效的补充，牢城军就是宋朝为弥补兵源不足而利用罪犯组建的军队，隶属于厢军。与其他番号厢军一样，牢城军除具有基本役作职能外，也具备一定的军事职能，是宋朝主体军事力量的有益补充。

Discussions on Banishing Camp Troops in Song Dynasty

Under the policy of ＂admiring literature and restraining military force＂, demos in Song took joining the army as the last means to make living. As soldiers＇ social status was low, Song military force couldn＇t have timely and enough recruit. Banishing camp troops were built up to offset the shortage of sources of soldiers ; belonging to auxiliary forces, it was a force composed of prisoners. As a helpful supplement to nation＇ s main military forces, banishing camp troops undertook some basic national services as well as certain military functions like other troops in auxiliary forces.
