On the Issue of Development and Social Responsibility of Private Enterprises in China

As new economic forces in China, private enterprises have contributed a great deal to the development of national economy. However, they are also confronted with increasing problems of their own in the course of development. In particular, they are handicapped by the inhuman treatment of the staff and the lack of responsibility towards the local community, as evident in their management and administration. Therefore, it is imperatively necessary for the private enterprises to establish a due sense of social responsibility integrated with any modern enterprise so as to enhance their competitiveness in the long run.
