A Comparative Study of the Civil Summary Procedure in Foreign Countries

This article gives a comparative study of the civil summary procedures adopted by the representative countries of the two major law systems in the world,covering such aspects as the scope of cases,methods of initiation,organization of trials,methodology of trials,judicial forms and small claims of litigation procedure.It is intended to promote a better knowledge and understanding of the fairly developed civil summary procedure in the international community so as to lend reference to prospective improvement of its Chinese counterpart.
