| Abstract: | This paper sums up the achievements in researches on the environmental functional district planning on Hainan island. The researches on the environmental functional district planning are directed by theories of sustainable development and complex ecological system with metasynthesis as technical methodology. Besides, the researches cover a thorough survey, intense analysis and summary of both the current function and programming function of Hainan's environment. As a result, the overall environment function zone on Hainan island is classified into three grades on the basic principles of similarities within the same zone and differences between individual zones in terms of environmenal function. |
