| 摘 要： | 对城市化的本质和内涵进行剖析，通过对比发达国家的城市化和发展中国家的城市化，就中国城市化的基本特征进行分析，认为当代中国城市化的发展背景远比西方发达国家城市化高潮时期以及大多数发展中国家面临的状态和问题更加错综复杂，因此需要根据中国国情，探索中国特色的城市化道路，尤其是赋予中国城市化的城市生活方式转变的内涵，而不是片面地追求城市化率的提高。

| Abstract: | Through analyzing the essence and connotation of urbanization as well as comparison between developed and developing countries, the article reviews the fundamental features of modern urbanization in China. He argues that the Chinese case is far more sophisticated than its Western counterparts, and therefore requires policies suitable for the Chinese situation, especially those that could transform the urban lifestyles instead of merely pursues economic growth. |
