A Tentative Discussion on the Confucian Ideas about the Process of Moral Education

Process of moral education is an elementary theory of moral education. The study of ancient Chinese Confucian ideas about moral education provides valuable references for further development of the theory of process of moral education. This paper primarily regulates Confucian ideas of ancient China about the formation and development of moral character, circumstance in which moral character takes form, influence of education, individual self-cultivation and its method in the formation of moral character, etc. and gives a brief discussion on the ideas about the process of moral education in the moral education theory of ancient Confucianism in China.
