Ideology's Economic Function--Probe into North's Ideology Theory

Market economy theory of western mainstream economics which based on rational chosen model is confronted with difficulties in theory, and is also regarded as failing to response to practical problems. North's ideology theoiy effectively extends and mends sense selection model. This dissertation probes into economic function of North's ideology theory, relation between ideology and institution variance, and points out that North's ideology theory brings irrational and evolution factors, which is very important to the development of western economics. North's ideology theory is of great significance to our current politics and economy.
