论鲁穆公变法中的子思

鲁穆公变法失败的原因并非是穆公任用儒家之故 ,更非穆公任用子思之过 ,而是穆公未能完全听信儒家尤其是子思之言所致。子思已非其祖父式的儒家 ,而是以鲁学为主、并蓄齐学之后的集大成者。子思师、公仪休为政的鲁穆公变法与子夏师、李悝为相的魏文侯改革处于同一潮流 ,具有同等意义。子思对儒家学说的成熟、法家思想的定型均有贡献

ZiSi in Lu Mugong's Reform

The failure of Lu Mugong's reform, should be attributed, not to the employment of Comfucianist, esp. ZiSi, instead, to Lu Mugong's failure to adopt their suggestions. ZiSi was no longer a Confucianist in his grandfather's style, but a complete concert of Qi study and Lu study, with the latteras the center. Lu Mugong's reform, with ZiSi as the advisor and Gong Yi Xiu the premier, was in the same stream and of the same value with Wei WenHou's reform with Zi Xia as the advisor and Li Gui the premier. ZiSi contributed to the maturization of Confucianism and the shaping of legalism.
