Family therapy and Social Justice are vast words that condense (and obscure) many ideas, theories and practices. Family therapy in this country has been shaped by larger Australian conversations and movements around Social Justice, but the relations between Family Therapy and Social Justice are not simple. Looking back over ten years since our last Conference in Adelaide, I recall some personal and political experiences connecting Family Therapy and Social Justice, and go on to argue how newer post-modernist and feminist currents might enrich the links, and “keep the conversation going”.  相似文献

One of the results of the policies pursued by the Japanese colonial administration in Korea after 1910 was the migration of large numbers of Koreans to Japan. Hostility and prejudice toward these immigrants were fostered not only by the willingness of Korean workers to accept working and living conditions far below those which their Japanese counterparts would tolerate, but also by the association of Koreans with radical ideologies.

This hostility was given its fullest expression immediately after the Great Kantō Earthquake of 1923 when large numbers of Koreans were put to death by members of the army, police, and local ‘vigilance associations’. An attempt is made here not only to describe the events which followed the earthquake, but also to show how these were an inevitable consequence of Japanese colonial rule.  相似文献

The article, drawn primarily form unusually frank conversations with Soviet women in major policy-making positions (Moscow, 1979), describes the kinds of policy-making positions available and indicates the numbers of women who hold them. Although access seems easier than it us in the United States, Soviet women are kept from top positions by attitudes toward responsibility for child and home care. The declining birth rate among ethnic Russians may lead to additional pressures on potential female policy-makers to produce more children and devote additional time to domestic life.  相似文献
