Ten Outstanding Women Chosen

BEFORE the celebration of the 85th anniversary of International Women's Day, the All-China Women's Federation sponsored an activity to choose ten outstanding Chinese women, which involved the Ministries of Labor and Personnel, the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army, the All-China Federation of Trade Union, the Youth League of China, the China Association of Science and about a dozen Chinese news agencies. The results were recently announced, and including following women: Yue Xicui, one of the third generation of women aviators. Since she joined the air force she has accumulated 5,180 hours

‘3 1 Mechanism’Project Completed “3 1机制”项目获得成功 With the support of the International Labor Organization (ILO), and implemented in accordance with the "3 1 mechanism" (the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the China Enterprise Confederation, plus the All-China Women's Federation), the project, aimed at enhancing gender mainstreaming capacity in China, was completed in April 2006.

印度妇女组织联合代表团访华

Invited by the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, a six-member delegation of Indian women, headed by Mrs. Gomathi Nair, President of the All India Women＇s Conference, visited Beijing and Shanghai from July 25-31, 2010. It was the first time that the ACWF had invited a non- governmental women＇s delegation from India to visit. During the visit, Meng Xiaosi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation, met members of the delegation. In Beijing, the delegation visited Wuzhou Women＇s Hospital and the grass-roots women＇s federation at Shijia Hutong, in Dongcheng District. Gu Xiulian, Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and President of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), met Baleka Mbete, Speaker of South Africa's National Assembly, at the ACWF on September 25.
