西部升起的“太阳”——论中国西部电影的形成和发展

从《人生》、《黄土地》、《老井》到《美丽的大脚》等以反映西部地域文化特征为主的中国西部电影,在它发展过程中,其文化审美视角形成了鲜明的特征:从20世纪的80年代侧重于道德评判和对传统文化的反思到21世纪初转向对平民情怀的关注,体现了文化重负下的多维融会的发展趋势,具有广泛的现实意义和历史深度;而它向观众展示的浓郁的地方特色令人耳目一新,富于民族特色与乡土气息的西北风土人情的文化长卷,以及复杂的人物性格,富有感染力的综合艺术手法,构成了西部电影独特的审美价值。     

东方与西方:异域视野中的《西游记》

关于<西游记>在国外的传播,东方远远早于西方.国外对于<西游记>的研究,也随着<西游记>的传入而开始了,但早期的评论都极为简约,20世纪五六十年代<西游记>研究进入了一个崭新的阶段.由于文化的差异,东西方对<西游记>的最初接受,实际已构成了分别由"玄奘"与"猴子"为代表的两个世界,前者有着更浓厚的宗教色彩,而后者则更侧重文本自身的隐喻.此后,从故事的形成、版本的流传、作者的考证、文本的比较,到最终对佛光道影下寓意的解读、文本结构的分析,东西方学者的研究几乎涉及了<西游记>的每一个领域,他们从不同的文化角度,彼此补充、又互相糅合地解读着一则"中国的寓言".

"西部影视"是相对于"中国影视"外延而言略小的一个概念,"西部影视文化研究"则包容了电影电视艺术研究的所有命题与范畴,研究重点在于涉及西部影视文化艺术现象的所有对象,突出地探讨电影电视创作和理论发展中的新现象、新经验。栏目的学术定位为影视艺术的专业性研究园地,刊发在当今中国影视艺术研究领域具有前瞻性、指导性、独创性学术观点的论文。

Public Attitudes Toward Immigration in the United States and Canada in Response to the September 11, 2001 "Attack on America"

In this paper, we describe recent trends in attitudes toward immigration in North America, and we suggest how these attitudes are likely to be affected by the September 11, 2001 "Attack on America." We begin by explaining why public attitudes toward immigration are important, and describe recent trends in these attitudes in the United States and Canada. Then, we apply psychological perspectives to predicting how these attitudes are likely to change in response to the events of September 11th. In particular, we describe expected short-term changes in immigration attitudes and expected long-term trends. We conclude by suggesting that an understanding of the psychological processes underlying unfavorable attitudes may assist in counteracting these effects; we also suggest that policy makers will be faced with the difficult task of balancing the need for a sense of security for members of the national group, and maintenance of the positive features of current immigration policies.     

变形的世界:明清时期《西游记》的隐性传播

<西游记>在明清时期的传播,除了版本、评点等方面外,还存在着植根于小说文本而又在<西游记>文本之外的隐性传播.主要表现为三种形式:游历式的叙事结构的延续和模仿,情节的移用和改变,人物、法宝等的摹拟与搬入.明清时期<西游记>的隐性传播有不同的倾向与特色.这种传播一方面扩大了<西游记>小说的传播范围与影响,也使其传播发生了某种变形,反映出不同时代<西游记>传播上的差别.     

双组织承诺：在西方的复兴和在中国的前景——双组织承诺研究述评（1980-2006）

双组织承诺研究兴起于工会主义崛起的1950年代,复兴于上世纪80年代以后,但在中国却不多见。本文在对67篇国外文献进行回顾的基础上,分析了双组织承诺研究复兴的原因,并介绍了双组织承诺形态分布的主要测度方法及不同方法的优劣、双组织承诺研究的主要理论和实证研究的结果。最后,本文论述了双组织承诺研究在中国的前景,以及双组织承诺研究在跨国企业经营和专业化组织管理方面的延伸。     

Subhumanism: The re-emergence of an affective-symbolic ontology in the migration debate and beyond

A critical analysis of social behavior proposes that the contempt for immigrants, refugees, or asylum seekers around the world is explicitly or implicitly powered by an ontology of the subhuman, a term that was used in early 20^th century American race and eugenic theory, as well as in fascist Germany, to describe and justify the mistreatment of minorities or perceived enemies. “Migrants” are not afforded the same rights and respect as other people, because they are not conceived as real humans, and their subhuman status allows them to be understood as criminals, degenerates, and even parasites, which are infesting the orderly body of the nation. Subhuman theory works with affects rather than with theoretical analyses, with visualizations and imaginations instead of intellectual concepts, and with a normalized, manufactured common sense. It is argued that at the core of the subhuman lies the idea of chaos, unhealthy appearance, and disorderly behavior, from which humanity is removed. Discussed are processes of subhumanization, the relationship between subhumanism and racism as well as fascism, and the dialectics between the particular and the general, which proposes a shared world for all humans. It is suggested that psychological concepts are limited, and that political, legal, and resisting action is required to combat the re-emergence of a normalized ontology.     

Thirty Years of Political Science in China: From Learning from the West to Indigenization

本文回顾了过去一个世纪政治学在中国的发展, 尤其是过去30年间的发展。其主 要观点是, 这个学科领域已经走过了两个阶段, 即“取经”与“效仿”。它正在进入 第三个阶段, 即本土化或中国化。不过, 即使对中国学者而言, 本土化也并非易事。本土化要求我们具有清晰的本土问题意识, 善于从我们独特的视角对中国和世界政治 现象进行创造性的思考, 并有意识地在思考过程中创造新关键词、新概念体系、新基 本假设、新分析框架、新研究方法, 最终把这种思考上升到一般性理 论。

The article reviews the development of political science in China in the last century, especially in the last 30 years. It shows that the discipline has gone through two stages, namely, uncritical learning and gullible emulating. It is entering a new stage: conscious indigenization of political science. It argues that indigenization is not an easy task even for indigenous academics. Therefore a project of indigenization requires a conscious and active effort on their part. Without critical introspection, indigenization is impossible.

"Not prepared to care" and "raising the bar": case examples of building university-community partnerships in gerontological social work research

This paper examines university-community partnerships in gerontological social work research. Utilizing a case study approach, the process of collaboration is explored within the context of a two-phase research project conducted jointly by agency social workers, social work students and a social work faculty member. The benefits and challenges of the university-community research partnership are discussed along with the implications for gerontological social work research, education and practice.
