According to the Program of Action adopted at the International Conference on Population and Development at Cairo in 1994, reproductive healthcare in the context of primary health care should include education and services for prenatal care, safe delivery and post-natal care, especially breastfeeding and infant and women‘s health care.     

China／UNFPA Project Helps to Change

The survey was conducted in three townships in Kuerle during June 15-17. In-depth interviews were conducted on separate occasions withlocal women and with family planning cadres andworkers at the city and township levels. The surveyshowed that the local family planning commissionhas complied with the requirements of the UNFPA FP/RH project by promoting informed choice andabandoning the quota system. There is no evidenceshowing that government forced local people topractice family planning.…
