Zero acceptance number sampling inspection plans are commonly employed for compliance sampling and audit inspection purposes. The discriminatory power of zero acceptance number sampling plans is rather poor. This article remedies this disadvantage by chaining past lot results within a quick switching system.  相似文献

This paper presents a system of skip-lot sampling inspection plans designated as SkSP-3 based on the principle of a continuous sampling plan of type CSP-2. Expressions for performance measures such as Operating Characteristic function and ASN function are derived by the Markov chain approach. Selection of SkSP-3 with a single sampling plan having acceptance number zero as the reference plan is discussed.  相似文献

This article proposes a variables sampling plan that can be applied for sampling inspection of resubmitted lots when the quality characteristic of interest follows the normal distribution. Resubmission of lots for inspection is allowed in some situations where the original inspection results are suspected or when the supplier or producer is allowed to opt for resampling as per the provisions of the contract, etc. The advantages of this proposed variables sampling plan over the existing single sampling variables plan are discussed. Tables are also constructed for the selection of optimal parameters of known and unknown standard deviation variables resampling scheme for specified two points on the operating characteristic curve, namely, the acceptable quality level and the limiting quality level along with the producer and consumer's risks. The optimization problem is formulated as a nonlinear programming where the objective function to be minimized is the average sample number and the constraints are related to lot acceptance probabilities at acceptable quality level and limiting quality level under the operating characteristic curve.  相似文献

The design of a sampling inspection plan is usually based on the properties of the operating characteristic curve. This approach ensures that the plan has adequate power to discriminate a lot of acceptable quality from a lot rejectable quality. However, the designed plan need not necessarily have adequate predictive power when the sentenced lot is re-inspected using the same sampling plan. The paper introduces a new design approach for the single sampling attributes plan ensuring the decision of acceptance or rejection is consistent for both current and any future inspection of the lot. The proposed design controls the risks of a future sample leading to a contradictory decision of acceptance or rejection of the lot. An increase in sample size is required to achieve the required predictive power if the true lot quality fails to be at very low fraction non-conforming levels. A Bayesian analysis is also provided.  相似文献

This article develops a variables sampling scheme for resubmitted lots by incorporating the concept of Taguchi loss function. The probability of lot acceptance is derived based on the exact sampling distribution and two-point condition on operating characteristic curve is used to determine the plan parameters that meet both the producer's and consumer's quality and risk requirements. Moreover, the performance of the proposed variables resubmitted sampling plan is investigated and compared with the classical variables single sampling plan. The results indicate that the developed resubmitted sampling plan can provide the same protection with less inspection when the submitted lot is good enough. Tables of the plan parameters under various conditions are provided and the use of the proposed plan is also illustrated with an example.  相似文献

An acceptance sampling plan is a method used to make a decision about acceptance or rejection of a product, based on adherence to a standard. Meanwhile, process capability indices (PCIs) have been applied in different manufacturing industries as capability measures based on specified criteria which include process departure from a target, process consistency, process yield and process loss. In this paper, a repetitive group sampling (RGS) plan based on PCI is introduced for variables’ inspection. First, the optimal parameters of the developed RGS plan are obtained considering constraints related to the risk of consumers and producers and also a double sampling plan, a multiple dependent state sampling plan and a sampling plan for resubmitted lots have been designed. Finally, after the development of variable sampling plans based on the Bayesian and exact approach, a comparison study has been performed between the developed RGS plan and other types of sampling plans and the results are elaborated.  相似文献

This paper introduces a double and group acceptance sampling plans based on time truncated lifetimes when the lifetime of an item follows the inverse log-logistic (ILL) distribution with known shape parameter. The operating characteristic function and average sample number (ASN) values of the double acceptance sampling inspection plan are provided. The values of the minimum number of groups and operating characteristic function for various quality levels are obtained for a group acceptance sampling inspection plan. A comparative study between single acceptance sampling inspection plan and double acceptance sampling inspection plan is carried out in terms of sample size. One simulated example and four real-life examples are discussed to show the applicability of the proposed double and group acceptance sampling inspection plans for ILL distributed quality parameters.  相似文献

This paper proposes a quick switching sampling system for the inspection of attributes quality characteristics for resubmitted lots. The optimal parameters for both fraction non conforming items and fraction non conformities of the proposed sampling system are determined using an optimization procedure so that producer’s risk and consumer’s risk are simultaneously satisfied. Tables are also constructed for the selection of parameters for specified AQL and LQL. The advantage of the proposed plan over the existing plan is discussed and illustrate. An economic design of the proposed sampling system is also discussed and shown that the proposed sampling system has minimum total cost and average total inspection compared to other existing sampling plans.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop a double acceptance sampling plan for half exponential power distribution when the lifetime experiment is truncated at a prefixed time. The zero and one failure schemes are considered. We obtain the minimum sample sizes of the first and second samples necessary to ensure the specified mean life at the given consumer’s confidence level. The operating characteristic values and the minimum ratios of the mean life to the specified life are also analyzed. Numerical example is provided to illustrate the double acceptance sampling plan.  相似文献

In this paper, a variables tightened-normal-tightened (TNT) two-plan sampling system based on the widely used capability index Cpk is developed for product acceptance determination when the quality characteristic of products has two-sided specification limits and follows a normal distribution. The operating procedure and operating characteristic (OC) function of the variables TNT two-plan sampling system, and the conditions for solving plan parameters are provided. The behavior of OC curves for the variables TNT sampling system under various parameters is also studied, and compared with the variables single tightened inspection plan and single normal inspection plan.  相似文献

Lot resubmissions are allowed in situations where the original inspection results are suspected or when the supplier is allowed to opt for resampling as per the provisions of the contract etc. This paper examines the situation of resampling of lots and derives the performance measures of a resampling scheme having a single sampling plan for inspection. The usefulness and limitations of resampling of resubmitted lots are also discussed  相似文献

Acceptance sampling, a major division in Statistical quality control, provides a guaranteed confidence on the product quality. Conventionally, when sampling plans are used all bad lots are rejected and good lots are accepted based on the defined conditions. The purpose of designing any sampling plan is to determine a sequence of action to be applied on a series of lots of defined quality and the decisions made on acceptance or rejection of lots sometimes leads to specified risks which may not favor producer and consumer. Thus, the objective of this article is to develop a design methodology of Single sampling plan under the conditions of Intervened Poisson distribution through unity value approach. Further, the efficiency of the proposed plan is assessed over the conventional single sampling plan and it is discussed through the numerical illustration.  相似文献

In this paper we shall deal with the acceptance sampling plans when the remainder of rejected lots is inspected. We shall consider two types of LTPD plans- for inspection by variables and for inspection by variables and attributes (all items from the sample are inspected by variables, remainder of rejected lots is inspected by attributes). We shall report on an algorithm allowing the calculation of these plans when the non-central t distribution is used for the operating characteristic. The calculation is considerably difficult, algorithm for non-central t distribution takes several minutes. For the calculation we shall use an original method.  相似文献

In this article, we apply the simulated annealing algorithm to determine optimally spaced inspection times for the two-parameter Weibull distribution for any given progressive Type-I grouped censoring plan. We examine how the asymptotic relative efficiencies of the estimates are affected by the position of the monitoring points and the number of monitoring points used. A comparison of different inspection plans is made that will enable the user to select a plan for a specified quality goal. Using the same algorithm, we can also determine an optimal progressive Type-I grouped censoring plan when the inspection times and the expected proportions of total failures in the experiment are pre-fixed. Finally, we discuss the sample size and the acceptance constant of the progressively Type-I grouped censored reliability sampling plan when the optimal inspection times are used.  相似文献

Acceptance sampling techniques are used to monitor the accuracy of gas meters. Random samples of meters are taken from homogeneous lots, and two accuracy measurements are recorded for each meter. In the past, the two measurements were averaged, and an acceptance sampling test applied to the sample of averages. In 1987, the plan was modified so that virtually the same test is applied to the two measurements individually. This new procedure is more stringent than the old procedure. In a study of data sampled over three years, the new plan rejects more lots than does the old plan, leading to greatly increased costs to the gas industry and therefore to the consumer. Theoretical reasons are given for why this occurs, and an alternative plan is proposed.  相似文献

This paper presents a design for skip-lot sampling inspection plans with the double-sampling plan as the reference plan, so as to reduce the sample size and produce more efficient plans in return for the same sampling effort. The efficiency of the proposed plan compared with that of the conventional double-sampling plan is also discussed. The need for smaller acceptance numbers under the plan is highlighted. Methods of selecting the plan indexed by the acceptable quality level and limiting quality level, and by the acceptable quality level and average outgoing quality level are also presented.  相似文献

A few lot-by-lot acceptance sampling procedures for attributes are proposed as alternatives to the usual double sampling. In these schemes whenever a second sample is needed, the sample information from neighbouring lots is used. The new plans have the DC identical to that of the comparable double sampling plan. The primary advantage of these plans is a reduction in cost due to a smaller ASN. An empirical study which investigates the effect of sudden shifts in quality level on the probability of acceptance and ARL under the proposed plans is included  相似文献

Bayesian acceptance sampling plans, which utilize prior information on the process variation, can be employed as an alternative to conventional types of plans for taking decisions on the disposition of submitted lots. A special type of double sampling inspection plans by attributes with small acceptance numbers using Bayesian methodology is presented in this paper emphasizing its significance over small acceptance number single sampling plans. The procedures for designing such sampling plans for specified degree of discrimination which would ensure protection to the producer and consumer are discussed with illustrations under the conditions for the application of gamma-Poisson distribution.  相似文献

Until now, various acceptance reliability sampling plans have been developed based on different life tests of items. However, the statistical effect of the acceptance sampling tests on the reliability characteristic of the lots accepted in the test has not been appropriately addressed. In this paper, we deal with an acceptance reliability sampling plan under a ‘general framework’ and discuss the corresponding statistical effect of the acceptance sampling tests. The lifetime of the population before the acceptance test and that of population ‘conditional on the acceptance’ in the sampling test are stochastically compared. The improvement of reliability characteristics of the population conditional on the acceptance in the sampling test is precisely analyzed.  相似文献
