本文研究消费者展厅行为和参考质量效应对O2O供应链动态运营策略的影响问题。分析了集中决策、分散决策和制造商分担实体店服务成本决策3种模式下的制造商产品质量策略、实体店和电商平台的服务竞争策略,以及品牌商誉变化和企业利润等问题。并进行了价格、实体店访问比例和展厅行为强度对企业绩效的影响。研究发现:展厅行为会挫伤实体店提供服务的积极性,降低品牌商誉,从而损害制造商和实体店的利润水平;而消费者的这种搭便车行为会提高电商平台利润,但由于参考质量效应的存在,其提升空间有限。综合而言,展厅行为对供应链总体绩效不利。应对展厅行为的长期战略有:1)加强上下游的纵向合作,制造商分担实体店服务成本契约,能实现供应链总体绩效的帕累托改进。2)从受展厅行为影响最大的实体店角度,保持线下产品高定价、高服务水平,提升消费者支付意愿,全面提升实体店的品牌溢价能力,获取长久生存之道。  相似文献

Although online shopping is becoming popular, consumers who are unsure about whether to buy a product may find it advantageous to visit a brick‐and‐mortar retail store to first examine the product before purchasing it. But, after browsing at the store, consumers have the option of switching to an e‐tailer to purchase the item at a cheaper price rather than buying at the store. Recent business press refers to this browse‐and‐switch behavior as “showrooming,” and attributes to it the declining profits of brick‐and‐mortar retailers. To study the effect of the browse‐and‐switch option on retail and online pricing strategies and profits, we analyze a stylized economic model that incorporates uncertainty in consumers' valuation of the product, captures the heterogeneity among consumers in their inclination to purchase online, and permits product returns. We consider various equilibrium scenarios for different combinations of consumer shopping behaviors, characterize the parameter ranges for each scenario, and demonstrate that browse‐and‐switch behavior can indeed occur under equilibrium. Our analysis further shows that the option for consumers to browse‐and‐switch intensifies competition, reducing the profits for both firms.  相似文献

考虑策略型消费者对产品估值的异质性和无缺陷退货行为,应用理性预期(RE)均衡构建了两期决策模型,引入产品的耐用性参数,得到了允许(不允许)无缺陷退货两种模式下零售商的定价区间和订货策略。研究发现,产品的耐用性越弱,零售商可制定的价格越高;高类型的消费者越多,零售商定价越高;产品折扣率越低,第二阶段购买的消费者越多;零售商允许消费者无缺陷退货时,消费者退货成本越低,零售商定价越高。在两种模式下,产品定价与其耐用性程度呈负相关,当产品具备高度潮流性特征时,不允许退货更占优势;随商品耐用性程度的提升,允许退货带来的优势逐渐明显,而且退货成本越低,允许退货优势越强;随产品耐用性参数增加,允许退货缓解策略型消费者消极影响的作用愈加明显,退货成本越高,缓解越有效。本文合理刻画了策略型消费者的行为,考虑了消费者跨期决策中产品耐用性的影响,同时考虑了现实中广泛存在的消费者无缺陷退货行为与零售商的退货补贴政策,从而为零售商的定价和订货退货决策提供了理论参考。  相似文献

考虑消费者存在公平偏好且两个制造商分别通过各自的零售商销售相似产品的竞争供应链,并构建三种情形下的博弈论模型,研究了不同的供应链成员采用基于消费者历史购买行为的歧视定价(BBP)策略对制造商和零售商利润、消费者剩余和社会福利的影响。研究发现:与不采用BBP策略相比,1)仅零售商采用BBP策略会降低制造商利润,但是当消费者公平偏好较大时,仅零售商采用BBP策略会增加零售商利润;2)当制造商和零售商均采用BBP策略会同时增加制造商和零售商的利润;3)仅零售商使用BBP策略会减小消费者剩余,然而制造商和零售商均使用BBP策略会增加消费者剩余;4)仅零售商采用BBP策略会降低社会福利,当制造商也采用BBP策略会进一步降低社会福利。  相似文献

The selling of perishable services (e.g., hotel rooms, airline seats, and rental cars) online is increasingly popular with both retailers and consumers. Among the innovative approaches to online sales is opaque selling. First popularized by Priceline.com's name‐your‐own‐price model, opaque selling hides some attributes of the service (notably, brand and specific location) until after the purchase decision, in exchange for a discounted price. This means that a branded “product” is being sold as somewhat of a commodity, but the brand “name” is protected by the opaque model. The attraction of this model for retailers is that they are presumably able to increase their revenue stream, albeit at a lower rate, by selling rooms that otherwise would remain in inventory. In this article, we outline the development and analysis of an online choice survey to understand consumer preferences among three types of online distribution channels: regular full information sales channels, and opaque sales channels with or without consumer bidding. A Multinomial Logit model is employed to analyze the data and measure the consumer trade‐offs between price and other attributes of the product. We use the estimated model to calculate the incremental demand and revenue created by using an opaque channel simultaneously with regular full information channels. On balance, we find that correctly priced opaque channels can add to hotels revenue streams without undue cannibalization of regular room sales.  相似文献

本文以全渠道零售商不同渠道的定价为背景,以企业利润最大化为目标,以顾客退货给零售商带来的损失为出发点,从三种不同的退货方式分析退货损失对零售商不同渠道最优定价和利润的影响。首先分析传统的原渠道退货(即:从购买产品的渠道退货),然后分析所有顾客都通过线上渠道退货,进而分析所有顾客都通过线下渠道退货。研究表明:三种退货方式下,当零售商与顾客的线上单位产品净退货损失之和小于线下单位产品净退货损失之和时,全渠道零售商选择全部退货到线上渠道可获得最大利润;当零售商与顾客的线上单位产品净退货损失之和大于线下单位产品净退货损失之和时,全渠道零售商应选择全部退货到线下的退货方式以获得最大利润;传统的退货方式不会让零售商获得最大利润。本文研究对于全渠道零售虑顾客退货损失的基础上,设置最合理的退货方式和不同渠道之间的最优定价有一定的指导意义和实际应用价值。  相似文献

研究由两个制造商、两个零售商以及消费者组成的双渠道供应链,制造商的最优产品分销渠道策略问题,通过构建Stackelberg主从动态博弈模型,分析制造商在不同渠道选择下的产品质量水平及定价决策,消费者三种不同渠道偏好下渠道竞争和品牌竞争激烈程度对制造商渠道选择均衡结果及帕累托最优选择的影响,以及对产品质量水平、产品价格、制造商及零售商利润的影响.研究表明:品牌和渠道双重竞争下,两种竞争之间存在相互作用的关系,并共同影响制造商最终渠道选择,制造商通过权衡价格决策的后动优势与消费者渠道偏好对其利润的贡献选择是否开辟双渠道,产品价格与产品质量水平正相关,与产品的替代率负相关,产品质量水平对渠道价格的影响程度等于消费者对该渠道的偏好程度.当消费者偏好某一渠道时,制造商可在该渠道上的产品采取优质高价策略,但渠道上产品性价比降低,当品牌竞争越激烈,产品价格越低,对制造商和零售商的利润挤压越严重.  相似文献

Private labels hold a substantial share of consumers’ wallets and their popularity is still growing as they spread into various product categories and quality tiers. To determine the right branding strategy, in terms of offering uniform or different private-label brands across product categories, retailers have to know whether consumers use their private-label experience across product categories and private-label tiers. Therefore, we examine different determinants of consumers’ consideration sets. We apply proneness for certain private-label tiers, product categories purchased, purchase frequency, and variety seeking as internal determinants, which contribute to consumers’ knowledge and experience with private labels. Further, we use consumers’ price consciousness and promotion sensitivity as external determinants, which the retailer can use to influence consumers’ consideration sets in the short run. Our analyses are based on large-scale loyalty program data for a period of 24 months. In particular, we use the first 12 months to derive the determinants of consumers’ share of wallets regarding different private-label quality tiers in the second half of the sample. We conduct our analyses for 12 different product categories and aggregate the results by using meta-analytic techniques. Notably, some determinants show dissimilar effects across product categories (e.g., price consciousness and promotion sensitivity), while others (e.g., private-label proneness) are rather similar. We find that consumers’ general proneness for certain private-labels tiers leads to a propensity to purchase them in a specific category and in adjacent quality tiers. Further, we reveal that product category characteristics moderate the determinants of private-label share.  相似文献

Whether, what and how much to buy are central decisions in consumer goods markets. Marketing research commonly uses a sequential approach where quantity decision is conditional on purchase incidence and brand choice (e.g., Ailawadi et al. in J Mark Res 44:450–467, 2007). This approach assumes separability between decisions and suffers from selectivity bias. The bias can be overcome by explicitly controlling for it (e.g., Zhang et al. in Rev Mark Sci 3(1), 2005) or by using one unifying utility function, a method considered “state of the art in analyzing purchase behavior in a single product category” (e.g., Song and Chintagunta in J Mark Res 44(4):595–612, 2007). However, this latter method puts restrictive assumptions on the influence of prices on choices, which may affect managerial implications derived from the model results. This study investigates the effect of selectivity bias by comparing the sequential approach—with and without explicitly controlling for endogeneity bias—to the unifying utility function approach. Based on household panel data from three categories, we illustrate the extent to which managerial implications from these frameworks differ. We show that the superiority of one framework versus the other depends on the specific category and its characteristics. The managerial implications of using the “wrong” framework are demonstrated by conducting two simulation studies; these show that price elasticities substantially deviate across frameworks.  相似文献

Retailers often face a newsvendor problem. Advance selling helps retailers to reduce demand uncertainty. Consumers, however, may prefer not to purchase in advance unless given a discount because they are uncertain about their valuation for the product in advance. It is then unclear whether or when advance selling to pass some uncertainty risk to consumers is optimal for the retailer. This paper examines the advance selling price and inventory decisions in a two‐period setting, where the first period is the advance selling period and the second is the selling (and consumption) period. We find that an advance selling strategy is not always optimal, but is contingent on parameters of the market (e.g., market potential and uncertainty) and the consumers (e.g., valuation, risk aversion, and heterogeneity). For example, we find that retailers should sell in advance if the consumers' expected valuation exceeds consumers' expected surplus when not buying early by a certain threshold. This threshold increases with the degree of risk aversion but decreases with stock out risk. If the degree of risk aversion varies across consumers, then a retailer should sell in advance if the probability for a consumer to spot buy is less than a critical fractile.  相似文献

In the newsvendor model, strategic consumers choose between buying the product at the regular price or waiting to try to buy the product at the discount price. Retailers can benefit from the ability to decrease strategic consumers’ perceived probability of finding a unit available at the discount price. Selling some inventory to an off-price retailer, who has a large number of thrift consumers, enables retailers to change consumers’ perceived probability of product availability at a reduced price, but at a cost of losing some strategic consumers to the off-price retailer. We show that without the off-price retailer’s exclusive consumers and even if the off-price retailer buys the product for a price below the retailer’s cost, the retailer can still be better-off with the off-price retailer. We also find that the retailer benefits more when the off-price retailer charges higher price for the product and has a large consumer segment of its own.  相似文献

Numerous studies on the drivers of brand extension success found evidence that parent-brand characteristics and the fit between parent brand and transfer product are the main and most influential factors driving brand extension success. However, the ability of a brand to transfer its brand loyal customers from the parent to the extension category has been widely neglected. Brand loyalty can be regarded as a consequence of the underlying assumption of customers transferring their quality perceptions, their brand knowledge, and their experience with the brand from one category to the other. We find empirical evidence that consumers who are loyal to the brand in the leading (parent) product category show a higher probability to be loyal to that same brand in another (extension) category compared to those consumers who are not loyal in the leading category. Moreover, as the overall success of the extension includes positive retroactive effects of the extension product on the parent product or brand, the arising question is whether there are differences between extension product categories regarding their attachment to the parent category and their ability to stimulate brand loyal purchases in the parent category, i.e., speaking of ‘leader’ and ‘follower’ categories in terms of brand loyal purchase behavior. This might even hold true for the relationship of any two categories the brand competes.  相似文献

消费者在购买体验式商品时面临着产品价值的不确定性,因而会产生参照依赖行为。本文研究了考虑消费者参照依赖行为的定价与订购问题,并分析了产品展示策略的影响。研究发现,给定产品满足率时,只有当消费者获得高价值的概率大于某个临界值时,参照依赖下的最优价格才会高于没有参照依赖下的最优价格,并且产品价值维度与产品价格维度的参照依赖对最优价格起着相反的作用。进一步给出了最优订购量满足的条件,并发现在一定条件下最优价格随着订购量的增大而增大。当企业采取产品展示策略之后,会产生两方面的效应,一是消费者数量减少,二是剩余消费者的保留价格增大,此时最优价格随着展示系数的增大而增大。最后,通过数值分析得到了更多的管理启示。  相似文献

传统的关于供应链牛鞭效应的研究,仅关注供应链上游成员间(供应商、制造商或零售商)的协调运作,而忽略缺货发生后顾客缺货反应对供应链动态性的影响。本文利用高层级Petri-net对包含两个制造商、两个零售商的供应链系统进行建模与仿真,定量地研究不同的缺货强度下顾客缺货反应对两条相互竞争的供应链牛鞭效应的影响。研究结果表明,顾客缺货反应对缺货品牌及其竞争品牌的牛鞭效应均存在显著影响,但各种缺货反应对牛鞭效应的影响程度有所差异,且供应链中断强度(主要体现为发生缺货的品牌市场份额以及缺货持续时间)亦对牛鞭效应产生显著影响。我们建议不同产品类型(对应不同的顾客反应组合)的管理者根据品牌的市场占有率、缺货持续时间等因素对不同类型的顾客进行购买行为的引导,以缓解牛鞭效应并保持市场份额。  相似文献

基于零售商线上线下销售与消费者退货并存的双渠道供应链,构建考虑退货的双渠道供应链定价模型以及考虑跨渠道退货策略的双渠道供应链定价决策模型。通过理论分析和数值实验对比,研究集中决策与分散决策下的零售商最优定价策略以及总利润的变化情况,同时分析在不同退货策略下顾客偏好以及退货率对零售商定价和收益的影响。结果表明:零售商渠道的最优价格设置与顾客对渠道的偏好成正比,与退货率成正比。当顾客对某一渠道偏好程度高时,分散决策下的利润要高于集中决策,并且随着该渠道退货率的提高,这种利润差距会进一步扩大,因此零售商应实施分散决策的渠道策略,鼓励线上线下两个渠道进行竞争,从而获得更大的收益。从仿真结果可以看出,对于一般的服装产品,提供跨渠道退货服务的零售商总利润更高,在一定条件下跨渠道服务水平的投入会增加零售商的收入,但这种投入应该控制在一个合理的水平上,并保持服务与顾客回报之间的正相关关系。  相似文献

研究了风险规避对双渠道制造商在线推介策略的影响。首先,以零售商、制造商风险中性为基准模型考察制造商推介策略,发现当推介市场规模较小时,制造商仅推介官方商城;当推介市场规模较大时,制造商选择都推介策略。然后,分别考察零售商或制造商风险规避特性对推介策略的影响,发现当推介市场规模居中时,若市场竞争强度较小,则随着风险规避程度的增大,制造商推介策略由仅推介官方商城转变为都推介;若市场竞争强度较大,则零售商风险规避情况下推介策略由都推介转变为仅推介官方商城,但制造商风险规避情况下推介策略不变。最后,通过算例形式分析了零售商和制造商都风险规避时制造商的推介策略。  相似文献

企业在推出炫耀性产品时,可以采用两种品牌策略:品牌延伸或新品牌。为分析企业的炫耀性产品品牌策略,通过博弈论本文建立了无新产品、品牌延伸和新品牌三种模型,并得到了垄断情形与竞争情形下企业在不同品牌策略下的最优定价和利润。研究发现:在垄断情形下,企业总是采用品牌延伸策略。而在面临企业竞争时,如果消费者对地位身份不敏感,则企业选择不推出新产品;如果消费者对身份地位敏感,则当创建新品牌成本较小时,企业采用新品牌策略,否则企业选择放弃推出新产品。此外,一定条件下,企业推出新品牌会增加竞争对手的利润。  相似文献

基于消费者效用理论,考虑网络商店在社区便利店内虚拟展示商品,实施商品种类合作的策略,分析了虚拟展示合作对双方决策以及市场均衡和利润的影响。研究结果表明,虚拟展示增加了社区便利店的商品多样性,促进了零售价格的增长,但虚拟展示商品和社区便利店内实物商品的竞争导致社区便利店利润降低,使得社区便利店缺乏主动参与合作的动机。基于纳什讨价还价模型,构建了基于平均主义的利润分成协调机制,实现了社区便利店和网络商店的商品虚拟展示合作,改善了参与双方的利润。  相似文献

Global brand consumers have become more prone to engage in variety-seeking and loyalty-switching behavior, so global brand managers are in urgent need to develop effective strategies to reinforce brand loyalty and lower the propensity of consumer defection. As a growing body of research indicates, consumer attachment and brand loyalty are closely correlated. The current study, linking the concepts of fluid meaning compensation and consumer attachment, unravels a novel loyalty-reinforcing avenue. Three experiments, manipulating scenarios of meaning threats commonly seen in everyday life (sense of absurdity, anxious uncertainty and social exclusion) on global brand consumers, verify that meaning threats heighten attachment of consumers toward their most attached brands. More importantly, this finding applies to global brand consumers across product or service brand categories with luxury or non-luxury brand positions. Hence, maximizing the fluid meaning compensation function of attached brands is conducive to reinforcement of global brand loyalty. Academic and strategic implications are gleaned from the research result for global brand management.  相似文献

目前有关在线消费者购买意愿的研究,绝大多数是基于实验统计的方法,分析影响消费者购买决策的因素,网店信息呈现的框架形式往往仅作为其中的关键因素被一些研究提及并加以验证。但是,"形态各异"的信息到底如何影响消费者心理进而影响到他们的决策?商家如何从消费者心理的微观层面来设计信息呈现策略,从而增强其购买意愿?目前关于此的研究尚不多见。本研究从前景理论的决策参考点视角,以价格因素为例,一方面,通过情境实验,验证了价格信息的不同呈现框架对于消费者购买意愿的影响作用;另一方面,在利用情境实验界定了消费者心理价格参考点的基础上,通过决策模型的构建和计算,从微观层面分析了不同价格信息呈现框架下,消费者购买选择大相径庭的原因。研究结果表明:(1)在风险框架下,相对于用不确定的语言来描述商品价格信息,确定性语言描述会使消费者的心理价格参考点和购买意愿更高。(2)在属性框架下,相对于用负面的语言来描述商品信息,正面的语言描述更能提高消费者的心理价格参考点和购买意愿。(3)在目标框架下,相对于强调购买行为可能给消费者带来的收益,强调不购买该商品可能给消费者带来的损失更有助于消费者的心理价格参考点和购买意愿的提高。基于上述研究结果,作者围绕网店如何有效的呈现信息提出了管理建议,并讨论了本研究的理论意义与应用价值。  相似文献
