Chinese and Foreign Women Together ——Celebrating 96th Anniversary of International Women's Day 中外妇女共庆“三八” On the afternoon of March 7, 2006, a grand reception to celebrate the 96th anniversary of International Women's Day was held by the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. About 1,500 people-including Chinese women from all walks of life, foreign women diplomats, foreign diplomats' wives, foreign women experts and foreign experts'

International Women's Day Party Well Received庆"三八"中外妇女招待会受欢迎It was a warm spring day on March 6,2007.On that afternoon,1,500 Chinese and foreign guests gathered in the Great Hall of the People, in Beijing,to celebrate the 97th anniversary of International Women's Day,which was on March 8.The event was organized by the All-China Women's Federation(ACWF).     

State Leaders Meet Women Delegates

ON the morning of March 7, 1995, Jiang Zemin, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and President of the People's Republic of China, and Hu Jintao, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, met with women delegates who attended the meeting from all levels of society commemorating the 85th anniversary of the International Women's Day. The two leaders had a group photo taken with the women and wished all women of China

Xi Extends Greetings to Women Ahead of International Women's Day Chinese President Xi Jinping on March 6 extended festive greetings and best wishes to the country's women of all ethnic groups and from all walks of life ahead of the International Women's Day,which falls on March 8.     

Through the Years——Chinese Women Celebrate March 8

Chinese women celebrated their first International Women's Day in 1924. The celebration was held at the No.1 Public Park in Guangzhou City, initiated by the Central Women's Department of the Kuomintang government. During the celebration, Madame He Xiangning, who was in charge of publicity affairs, chaired a meeting that was attended by more than 1,000 people from women's federations and more than 20 public women's schools of higher education or professional training, including a women drivers' continuation school.

Invited by the president of Polish Women＇s League, a four-member delegation of Chinese women visited Poland and attended the event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Polish Women＇s League from October 18-20, 2013. The delegation, headed by Mu Hong, Director-General of the International Department of the All-China Women＇s Federation, visited grass-roots organizations of Polish Women＇s League. A. Michalak, President of Polish Women＇s League, met with the delegation. Both sides shared their opinions on improving the friendly cooperation between Chinese and Polish women. The visit helped to renew the traditional friendship between ACWF and Polish Women＇s League.

At the invitation of Hong Kong Federation of Women(HKFW),Xia Jie,Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation,recorded a video to extend festive greetings to sisters from HKFW and women from all walks of life in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region(HKSAR)ahead of International Women's Day.     

Race Celebrates Women's Conference

ON the morning of February 26, a sea of enthusiastic women dressed in running suits converged upon Tiananmen Square for the start of the "Go to Beijing" distance race to celebrate the 85th anniversary of International Women's Day and to welcome the UN Fourth World Conference on Women (FWCW). The crowd included thousands of women from China and abroad.
