浅谈大学生职业生涯规划指导

面临大学生普遍存在缺少职业目标、就业困感、就业难等问题,很多高校已将大学生职业发展与就业指导课程列入了选修课或必修课.作为高职院校,笔者所在学院已于2007年将大学生职业生涯规划课列入了必修课,本文拟根据个人存教学与实践工作中对大学生进行职业生涯规划指导的体会,浅谈高职院校如何对大学生进行职业生涯规划指导.

大学生职业生涯规划教育探讨

当前我国大学生就业形势日趋严峻,对大学生开展职业生涯规划教育显得尤为迫切。本文试图从对大学生进行职业生涯规划教育的意义入手,并对当前大学生职业生涯规划教育的现状进行原因分析．进而提出成立专门的大学生职业生涯规划教育机构与咨询机构、加快高校大学生职业生涯规划课程建设、加强高校职业生涯规划教育队伍建设、在具体操作中实施全程分级式指导、把职业生涯规划与大学生自主创业结合起来和主动谋求社会资源的支持等对策建议。

Make your future job matter: A career calling intervention for college students

In recent years, career development scholars and practitioners are increasingly interested in the concept of career calling. However, the psychological mechanisms underlying the process of its discernment remain obscure, and intervention research is scarce. In this study, we implemented a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design with intervention (n = 42) and control group (n = 66) to test a 9-week elective course designed to help college students find their callings. The course included an investigation of strengths, values, and interests, followed by their integration into personal mission and finding occupations that allowed to implement that mission in real life (potential callings). The study was conducted in a major Russian university located in Moscow. Be the end of the course, the participants had a stronger sense of calling, perceived more meaning, and felt more authentic. The results of this study can be used by university career services, as well as private counselors.     

Disadvantagement-related correlates of career optimism among college and university students with disabilities

This paper describes research regarding factors predicting career optimism for a group of postsecondary students with disabilities (N = 208) who were enrolled in seven colleges and universities in four states. Career optimism was defined as a student's self-confidence regarding his or her ability to choose, maintain, and advance in an appropriate career. The proposed model incorporated variables related to employment discrimination and disincentives such as perceived impact of disability on one's education and quality of life, racial/ethnic status, gender, and presence of disability benefits. Results indicated that two aspects of "disadvantagement," specifically severity of perceived impact of disability and racial/ethnic status, were significant predictors of career optimism. Implications of the findings were discussed in terms of informational interventions, curricula, development of self-advocacy and self-determination, and research topics.     

Psychotherapy and career counseling: toward an integration for use with college students

The authors suggest that psychotherapy and career counseling with college students can be identified as potentially concurrent and interactive processes. They seek to increase awareness of this connection and underscore the value of its application when it is appropriate to do so. Selecting a career is a crucial developmental task for young adults and is, to varying degrees, an integral part of their psychosocial adjustment. The literature is reviewed from five perspectives: the psychodynamic model of career counseling; case examples; integration of career counseling and psychotherapy; a review of the developmental theories of Erikson, Farnsworth, Chickering, and Medalie; and empirical justification. The authors discuss the rationale for merging student psychotherapy and career counseling and offer case examples.
