The Chinese Model of Development： An International Perspective

随着中国改革开放事业的成功，国内外关于中国模式的研究日渐增多。然而，大多数学者尤其是西方学者在研究中国模式时，往往会回避中国的政治模式，仅仅把中国模式局限于中国在经济上的成功。但实际上，如果不讨论中国的政治模式，就很难理解中国的经济模式，因为到目前为止，中国的经济模式正是中国的政治模式促成的。对很多发展中国家而言，如何建立稳定的政治社会秩序是其面I艋的艰巨挑战，对此，中国模式的政治和经济内涵都非常具有借鉴意义。     

WTO国际竞争立法:中国的对策

建立国际竞争法律框架的WTO竞争政策谈判即将开始。为了应对WTO国际竞争立法,我国应加快建立并且有针对性地完善反垄断法律制度,积极参与竞争法执法的国际合作以便为WTO竞争法多边国际协调做好准备,同时合理制定我国的谈判策略。     

From the Cradle to the Grave: Funeral Welfare from an International Perspective

This article reports on a pilot study examining funeral welfare for citizens from low income backgrounds. Through a review of funeral welfare provision in 12 capitalist democratic countries it seeks to inform the current system of state support in Britain, arguing that insufficient attention has been given to funeral costs as a policy issue. Mindful of the British welfare state's original ‘cradle to grave’ ethos, such attention is ever more pressing in light of rising funeral costs, an ageing population and projected increases in the death rate. Arguing that funeral costs are an issue of income support, the article draws on Esping‐Andersen's threefold welfare‐regime typology to situate the British system within a comparative study of funeral welfare that identifies similarities and differences both within and between the three welfare‐regime types. On the basis of an empirical example, the article further argues that systems of funeral welfare reflect the relationship between culture, politics and local practice. The findings indicate that the British system is hampered by a discourse of welfare dependency rather than entitlement, which stigmatises those who need support with funeral costs at a time when they are under pressure to ensure that the deceased person receives a ‘dignified’ send‐off.

国际秩序是大国之间权力分配、利益分配和观念分配的结果 ;大国崛起必然触及国际秩序建构 ,中国必须就如何建立国际秩序提出自己的见解 ;中国参与国际秩序的建设 ,应从区域秩序着手 ,同时强调以完善全球性国际制度的基本规则为着眼点 ,逐步加强在国际秩序建设的议程创设能力 ,成为积极的、建设性的和可预期的国际秩序塑造者。     

国际金融危机的历史唯物论解读

起源于美国的金融危机,在给世界各国经济发展带来巨大冲击和影响的同时,证明了西方学者近20年的"三大预言",即"西方式民主制度将统一天下"、"新自由主义模式将成为普遍模式"、"共产主义斗争最终消亡"的谬误;更加证明了历史唯物论的科学性、真理性,新的自由主义挽救不了危机,科学发展观作为历史唯物论的当代成果,它是应对国际金融危机的理论指导.为此,要在科学发展观的指导下,制定符合规律的应对对策;要在科学发展观指导下,加快社会保障的制度建设;要在科学发展观的指导下,满足社会主体的多元需求.     

The ratification of ILO Conventions and the provision of unemployment benefits: An empirical analysis

This article tests the relationship between the ratification of International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions and the provision of unemployment benefits. Statistical tests focus on two related issues: why countries ratify ILO Conventions on unemployment benefits, and whether ratification influences government spending on unemployment benefits. The main findings are that democracy, region, income, and globalization are the main factors influencing why countries ratify ILO Conventions on unemployment benefits. In turn, the ratification of ILO Conventions is systematically associated with higher spending if countries have ratified more than two Conventions.
