Warm Breeze
Middle-aged female painter Wang Yingchun is a first-grade artist at the Research Instituteof Chinese Painting. With a solid foundation in: Chinese painting, oil painting andsculpture she began to experiment in the early 1980s with stone carving, murals, folkart, landscapes, flowers and birds, cubism, expressionism and abstractionism. Living ina time of social transformation, she felt pressed to create her own artistic style. Aftervisiting South America, she produced a batch of works which drew the essence of theBeast Group and used a new technique, without sketching the contours of flowers, sothat the paintings look wild, romantic and exuberant. This painting Warm Breeze displaysWang's style: While extensively studying the paintings of various schools, she makes hertraditional Chinese ink paintings tinted with modern color.  相似文献

她走了。我感到有点荒诞——她既然是说评弹的,她既然就住在我们家的附近,我为什么从未听过她的评弹呢? If you met Miner's mother, you would not assume she was an artist of pingtan (a storytelling and ballad singing folk custom in Suzhou dialect). But if you were told that Ms. Yan, the woman in the white silk scarf, was an artist of pingtan, you would say that's right.  相似文献

TENG Youlian, a Miao woman and the chief director of the Meteorological Bureau of Mayang County, Hunan, is one of the most reliable people in the area. The local people affectionately refer to Teng as "the woman who manages weather," because she and her meteorological bureau can forecast weather precisely, and predict rainstorms and floods in advance. Several times, they have been able to greatly reduce the losses for Mayang County caused by disastrous floods. Though only a junior high school graduate, and one who had never formally learned meteorology, Teng studied very hard to gain practical knowledge after she transferred to the meteorological bureau in 1969; gradually, she became familiar with the work. In 1981, she became a technician in weather forecasting, and was promoted to assistant engineer in 1988. She worked diligently and carefully; in 1989, she set a record  相似文献

WHEN she was a little girl, Li Ju was nicknamed "Tomboy." She played every game that boys were interested in, but refused even to look at the games that usually attract girls. Perhaps Li Ju's kindergarten teacher thought ping pong was a game for boys rather than for girls, because when the kindergarten was visited by coaches searching for children with sport potential, Li Ju's teacher recommended the tomboy immediately. Little did she know that her recommendation would bring about one more woman world champion for China.  相似文献
