1 .Avoidance of cultural conflicts
During the translation of trademark brand names, if the translation is in contradiction with the culture of the target audience group, then alternative methods should be used. Michelle Bachelet, former President of Chile （2006-2010）, on September 14, was named Under- Secretary-General for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women （UN Women） of the United Nations. UN Women, a newly created United Nations office to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women, was established on July 2 by the UN＇s General Assembly, which merged four gender entities into one. In 2009, the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） and China＇s ministries of Health and Finance implemented the cancer- screening project. Under the project, rural Chinese women can receive free screening for cervical and breast cancer （the ＂two cancers＂）. Tile project＇s aims are to raise awareness about the importance of healthcare and to detect the ＂two cancers＂ early so afflicted women can receive timely medical treatment.

The parody in Death and the Compass by Jorge Luis Borges as a Metaphysical Detective Novel

The emergence of metaphysical detective novels changed the situation that traditional detective novels are often criticized as vulgar literature for its escaping from reality and its purpose of recreation and stimulus. Jorge Luis Borges is one of the forerunners of metaphysical detective fiction. Especially, some of his short novels become the classics of metaphysical detective novels. In this thesis, I will try to analyze the parody of one of Jorge Luis Borges＇ representative metaphysical detective novels --＂Death and the Compass＂ to see the main differences between metaphysical detective novels and traditional detective novels. This thesis is divided into three parts. Chapter one gives brief introduction about traditional detective novels. Chapter two discusses the parody in this novel. And chapter three comes to the conclusion which gives the reason for this change.

The Beijing Wine Expo will be held in the Badaling International Convention Center, at the foot of the Great Wall in Yanqing County, Beijing, from July 29-31, 2014.
