Expo 2010 Shanghai China focuses on the theme of a city and its development. With a city ---- considered an open carrier of diverse cultures and customs -- as the base, issues related to cultural integration, economic prosperity, technical innovation, community remodeling and urban-rural communications are being showcased, in various formats, and discussed during the Expo.

The China Women＇s Business and Innovation Achievements Expo openedon June 18 in southeast China＇s Fujian Province. Vice-Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People＇s Congress and President of the All- China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） Chen Zhili attended the opening ceremony. She proclaimed the Expo open.

Amoy Youbide Lacquer Thread Sculpture Art Co., Ltd (Youbide), on July 7, 2006, was selected by the 2006 China-ASEAN Expo to produce special lacquer-thread sculptures (a unique kind of lacquer sculpture) to be presented as

In almost every pavilion on the Expo Site, three interconnected concepts are showcased through various exhibitions. The concepts are： A city is created by people; people＇s lives are closely related to the city＇s development; and, ifa city is a metaphor for a ＂living creature,＂ people are like its vigorous and creative ＂cells.＂     

北京延庆国际葡萄酒博览会

The Beijing Wine Expo will be held in the Badaling International Convention Center, at the foot of the Great Wall in Yanqing County, Beijing, from July 29-31, 2014. The expo is part of the llth International Conference on Grapevine Breeding and Genetics, which is widely referred to as the ＂grape Olympic Games＂ by experts and producers in the international grape sector.

The China Children and Women Industry Expo, organized by the Beijing Women＇s Federation and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council, was held July 17-20 in the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Representatives of 310 enterprises from China or other countries, including Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand and the United States, attended the expo.

Expo 2010 Shanghai China will be held from May 1 to October 31. Some 200 nations and organizations are expected to participate in the expo, and more than 70 million visitors, from home and abroad, are expected to attend. The expo＇s theme, ＂Better City, Better Life,＂ represents the wishes of humankind for better living in future urban environments. 世界博览会（World Exposition）,简称“世博会”（World Expo）,是由一个国家的政府丰办,有多个国家或国际组织参加,以展现人类在社会、经济、文化、科技领域取得成就,以及展望人类社会的发展前景和寻求解决面临的重大问题等为主要内容的国际性大型展示盛会。其宗旨是促进世界各国经济、文化、科学技术的交流与发展,使每个参展国家能够利用这个机会宣传自己,向全世界展示自己在各个领域所取得的新成就,扩大国际间交往,

＇Showing a Beautiful World＇ Exhibition Held To commemorate the 100th anniversary of International Women＇s Day （IWD）, the women＇s federation in Baoshan District, Shanghai, held the ＂Showing a Beautiful World＂ Exhibition to display works by Baoshan women. Although IWD was on March 8, the exhibit was held in Shanghai on March 1. In December 2009, the Baoshan Women＇s Federation announced its plan to collect original works by Baoshan women. The response was positive. Women contributed more than 120 calligraphies, paintings, photographs and embroideries, among other works. The items reflected the wisdom of the women, displayed Baoshan women＇s pursuit of beauty, and extended the women＇s best wishes to the World Expo 2010 Shanghai. The expo will open on May 1.     

印度妇女组织联合代表团访华

Invited by the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, a six-member delegation of Indian women, headed by Mrs. Gomathi Nair, President of the All India Women＇s Conference, visited Beijing and Shanghai from July 25-31, 2010. It was the first time that the ACWF had invited a non- governmental women＇s delegation from India to visit. During the visit, Meng Xiaosi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation, met members of the delegation. In Beijing, the delegation visited Wuzhou Women＇s Hospital and the grass-roots women＇s federation at Shijia Hutong, in Dongcheng District. In Shanghai, the delegation visited the Employment Promotion Center in Baoshan District. The guests also attended a work-experience- exchange meeting with Baoshan District Women＇s Federation, and they visited a pear orchard, the Shanghai Lilan Fashion Accessories Manufacturing Co., Ltd, and the Expo 2010 Shanghai China.
