I really enjoyed your article on how to be a happy, single Chinese woman on Valentine＇s Day. I＇m not Chinese, but I still found the message in your article both encouraging and meaningful. It＇s great that you focused on emotional as well as physical health, and that you reminded people that being single on Valentine＇s Day can still be lots of fun.

There＇s no denying that submerging yourself in hot water can be one of life＇s pleasures, particularly on a cold winter＇s day. Many hot springs have a host of medicinal benefits, such as hydrating the skin and soothing muscle aches and pains.

＂Not as sweet as a flower; not as tall as a tree, I＇m a small grass nobody knows.＂ Those words are part of the lyrics of A Small Grass, a song that was popular during the 1980s and 1990s. The song struck a chord with many ordinary Chinese.

Chinese film director Teng Huatao＇s new film, Up in the Wind, hit Chinese screens on the last day of 2013. It marked the second time that he teamed up with screenwriter Bao Jingjing. They previously worked together on the romantic comedy Love is Not Blind （2011）.

Anhui Children Benefit from CCTF Charity Tour

The China Children and Teenagers＇ Fund （CCTF） organized a children＇s charity tour, in East China＇s Anhui Province, from October 26-29, 2014. According to the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, China has 61 million left-behind children, whose parents have left their hometowns to earn a better living in urban areas. To ensure the proper development of the left-behind children. ACWF and CCTF launched the ＂Safeguarding Childhood,Walking Together with Love＂ nationwide project on July 28, 2014. The project was announced ill Beijing.

“美丽中国爱心行”走进玉树 Led by Chen Xiaoxia, Secretary-General of the China Children and Teenagers＇ Foundation （CCTF）, a group from the foundation＇s ＂Love Travel in China＂ project began a two-day visit to Yushu Tibetan Prefecture, in northwestern China＇s Qinghai Province, on September 24, 2013. The prefecture was rocked by a 7.1-magnitude earthquake on April 14, 2010.

Director Ma Zhiyu＇s urban romance drama Love You for Loving Me, which stars Chinese actor Zhang Hanyu and actress Wang Luodan, tells the story of a young woman who loves -- perseveringly -- a middle-aged man.     

积极推进妇女就业创业

The Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security of Shanghe County （in Ji＇nan, capital of East China＇s Shandong Province） in 2013 put a lot of effort into fulfilling the targets of women＇s development, as prescribed in China＇s 12th Five- Year （2011-2015） Plan. To promote women＇s development, the bureau did the following to help women find work and/or start a business：

“两癌筛查”造福广大农村妇女 Women make special contributions to social progress and human development, as they give birth to and raise their children. Therefore, it is vital that their health be protected properly. In 2009, the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） and China＇s ministries of Health and Finance implemented the cancer- screening project. Under the project, rural Chinese women can receive free screening for cervical and breast cancer （the ＂two cancers＂）. Tile project＇s aims are to raise awareness about the importance of healthcare and to detect the ＂two cancers＂ early so afflicted women can receive timely medical treatment.

Dear Women of China, I＇ve had the pleasure of having dinner with my Chinese girlfriend＇s family a few times in the past, but each time they urged me to drink lots of alcohol. I understand that it＇s their way of welcoming and encouraging me to feel comfortable around them, but I＇m not very fond of drinking. However, every time I try to refuse a drink, they keep insisting that I drink anyway, until I give up trying to convince them. Now, I＇m uneasy about having more dinners with them.

I＇m interested in your magazine, but there＇s no way for me to get copies of it where I live. I see that your website has an electronic version of the magazine, but it＇s only one issue, it＇s a few months old, it＇s difficult to read （because you have to wait for the pages to enlarge）, and you have to click on the pages to flip them back to the table of contents or reload the whole page. It＇s extremely aggravating and not at all easy for readers to use.
