心理模拟:一种有效预防冲动购买行为的方法

冲动购买是比较典型的消费者非理性购买行为。以往关于冲动购买的文献大量集中于探讨影响消费者冲动性的因素上面,而对于消费者自我控制的研究较少。本文基于自我控制的欲望—意志力模型,运用实验方法,探讨心理模拟技术对消费者冲动购买的影响。实验结果发现,过程模拟可以显著降低消费者的冲动购买水平,而结果模拟则明显提高消费者的冲动购买水平,高低冲动特质的人在这种效果上呈现明显差异;在不加控制的情况下,高冲动特质的人更偏好结果模拟,低冲动特质的人更偏好过程模拟。     

产品预售、退货策略和消费者无缺陷退货行为

本文研究了在产品需求和消费者产品估价均不确定的情况下,报童零售商的预售策略和无缺陷退货问题.零售商可以提供三种销售策略:不提供预售、提供部分退款退货服务的预售策略和提供全额退款退货服务的预售策略,所有预订产品在正常销售季节交付.研究发现,预订产品的全额退款退货策略和不提供退货策略都可能导致库存风险和估价不确定风险的不合理分摊,而最优的退货策略是部分退款退货策略,且最优退货价格为产品的残余价值.此外,全额退款和部分退款的退货策略只影响零售商的预售利润和销售季节退货量,并不影响零售商在正常销售季节的期望利润.研究还表明,预售需求和正常销售需求的相关性越高,预售优势越明显.

Demonstrating the Need for Effective Business Ethics: An Alternative Approach

Since the financial crisis, the malfeasance of business leaders has been a recurring theme in the news, along with calls for increased regulation and oversight. This focus on the ethics of the business community raises a concern about the ethics of those in business or going into business. The ethics of business people and business students has been explored by a number of researchers using survey techniques. We propose and report the results of an alternative method for investigating unethical behavior by students. In a motivated economic experiment with introductory level students, we find that business students were almost twice as likely to lie for a monetary reward as students in other disciplines, demonstrating the need for effective business ethics.     

有效税率、投资与经济增长:来自中国数据的经验实证

本文测算了我国劳动、资本和消费的有效税率,以反映这三种要素的真实负担情况,然后,利用结构VAR模型分别研究三种税率的结构性冲击对投资和经济增长的动态影响。结果表明:消费支出有效税率的正冲击对投资率和经济增长率的影响程度最大,短期内有利于投资率的增加,长期来看有利于经济增长;劳动收入有效税率的正冲击对投资率和经济增长率的影响,短期效应为正,长期效应为负;对资本收入征税,短期内不利于投资率和经济增长率的提高,长期来看具有一定的正效应,但是影响程度相对较小。因此,我国税收政策调整的中长期目标应尽量选择以消费支出为税基,以促进经济的长期快速增长。     

Optimal Pricing,Ordering, and Return Policies for Consumer Goods

Our research addresses a firm that sells a product to consumers who are sensitive to both price and return policy. The operational decisions of interest are the selling price, return policy, and quantity of new product to purchase. We model a single selling season that is split into two periods where the boundary between periods is delineated by the opportunity to recover product returns and resell them. That is, returns in the first period can be recovered and sold in the second period. Returns also arise in the second period, but these may only be salvaged. We first analyze both deterministic and stochastic models, finding that the deterministic results largely carry over to the stochastic case. In addition, our results indicate that the model is quite insensitive to errors in the estimates of the parameter values, except for purchase cost and parameters related to demand. Finally, we perform an analysis on the value of various investments to improve financial performance. Results indicate that investments to reduce the recovery cost of returns or reduce returns uncertainty are minimal, while investments to increase recovery speed, reduce market uncertainty, and reduce the return rate can be quite valuable.     

A Goal Programming Model for Effective Segment Determination: A Comment and Application

This note presents a model for the effective market segment determination problem. The integer goal programming model was developed for a nonprofit health care organization. The approach is an alternative application of a model presented by McClure and Wells [7]. The model includes input from the organization's clients as well as the organization's decision makers. A distinctive element is the simultaneous development of market segments and the consideration of management, institutional, and resource constraints. The purpose of the model was to aid the decision makers in determining if effective market segments exist which can be reached with information and educational materials concerning infant nutrition and breastfeeding. The model was tested and found to be effective in helping the decision makers segment their clients.
