印度妇女组织联合代表团访华

Invited by the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, a six-member delegation of Indian women, headed by Mrs. Gomathi Nair, President of the All India Women＇s Conference, visited Beijing and Shanghai from July 25-31, 2010. It was the first time that the ACWF had invited a non- governmental women＇s delegation from India to visit. During the visit, Meng Xiaosi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation, met members of the delegation. In Beijing, the delegation visited Wuzhou Women＇s Hospital and the grass-roots women＇s federation at Shijia Hutong, in Dongcheng District. In Shanghai, the delegation visited the Employment Promotion Center in Baoshan District. The guests also attended a work-experience- exchange meeting with Baoshan District Women＇s Federation, and they visited a pear orchard, the Shanghai Lilan Fashion Accessories Manufacturing Co., Ltd, and the Expo 2010 Shanghai China.

Invited by Jacqueline Mbabazi, wife of Ugandan Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi and President of the National Resistance Movement （NRM） Women＇s League, and Igbal Gaffar Elhusain Karar, President of the Sudanese Women General Union, a delegation of Chinese women visited Uganda and Sudan from November 29 to December 6, 2013.

At the invitation of Portugal＇s Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality （CIG）, a four-member women＇s delegation from China visited Portugal from February 22-26, 2010. The delegation was headed by Huang Qingyi, Vice-Chairperson of the National Working Committee on Children and Women under the State Council, and former Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）. It was the second visit in 20 years. The delegation was warmly received with great hospitality. Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairperson of the NPC （National People＇s Congress） Standing Committee and President of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） on February 11, 2014, chaired the symposium on work related to migrant women and children and left-behind women and children. The symposium was held in Nanchang, capital of East China＇s Jiangxi Province.

Protecting Women＇s Legal Rights, Interests
The All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, on January 3, 2014, held the symposium on Protecting Women＇s Legal Rights and Interests and Doing Practical Work to Benefit Women in Beijing. Shen Yueyue, Vice-Chairperson of the NPC （National People＇s Congress） Standing Committee and ACWF President, chaired the meeting. Song Xiuyan, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of ACWF, several of ACWF＇s vice- presidents, and representatives of members of ACWF＇s standing committee and executive committee, attended.

Song Visits Earthquake-stricken Yushu

Song Xiuyan, Vice- President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All- China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, visited earthquakestricken Yushu, a Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwestern China＇s Qinghai Province, on May 27.

The All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） and the National Bureau of Statistics on September 26 launched tile Third Survey on Chinese Women＇s Sccial Status. The survey was launched in Beijing. The 120 people who attended the news con ference to launch the survey included experts, liaison officers and heads of provincial-level women＇s federations. They discussed the planning for the survey, the design of the questionnaire and quality
control issues.

Alongside the rapid development of China＇s modernization and deepening economic and political reforms, the Women＇s Legal Aid Center of the All- China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） has achieved great progress in protecting women＇s rights and interests.
