印度妇女组织联合代表团访华

Invited by the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, a six-member delegation of Indian women, headed by Mrs. Gomathi Nair, President of the All India Women＇s Conference, visited Beijing and Shanghai from July 25-31, 2010. It was the first time that the ACWF had invited a non- governmental women＇s delegation from India to visit. During the visit, Meng Xiaosi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation, met members of the delegation. In Beijing, the delegation visited Wuzhou Women＇s Hospital and the grass-roots women＇s federation at Shijia Hutong, in Dongcheng District. In Shanghai, the delegation visited the Employment Promotion Center in Baoshan District. The guests also attended a work-experience- exchange meeting with Baoshan District Women＇s Federation, and they visited a pear orchard, the Shanghai Lilan Fashion Accessories Manufacturing Co., Ltd, and the Expo 2010 Shanghai China.

China Children and Teenagers＇ Foundation （CCTF） hosted an awards ceremony for winners of the national ＂Learning from Lei Feng＂ writing contest. The competition was organized by CCTF, and the awards ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the People, in Beijing, on August 19, 2014.

Housekeeping-skills Competition Held in Shanghai
The Sixth Housekeeping-skills Competition was held in Pudong New District, Shanghai, on December 23, 2009. Preparations for the event began more than five months earlier. Of the nearly 1,000 participants, 36 entered the final.

The Family Instruction, Family Tradition and Culture Inheritance Seminar was held at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences on August 27, 2014. The Office under Shanghai Spiritual Civilization Construction Leading Committee, Shanghai Women＇s Federation, Shanghai Family Education Research Association, Shanghai Community Development Association and the Taiwan Research Association of Shanghai organized the event.

August 15, 2010, started out like any other day, but it quickly became the focus of millions of people. As flags were lowered to half-mast throughout China, the nation felt deep grief for the victims of the devastating mudslide in Zhouqu County, in northwestern China＇s Gansu Province. Just days earlier （midnight on August 7 to be exact）, the mudslide ravaged the beautiful county; in a twinkling of an eye, homes were damaged and family members were forever affected. By August 26, more than 1,400 people had been confirmed dead.

＇Showing a Beautiful World＇ Exhibition Held To commemorate the 100th anniversary of International Women＇s Day （IWD）, the women＇s federation in Baoshan District, Shanghai, held the ＂Showing a Beautiful World＂ Exhibition to display works by Baoshan women. Although IWD was on March 8, the exhibit was held in Shanghai on March 1. In December 2009, the Baoshan Women＇s Federation announced its plan to collect original works by Baoshan women. The response was positive. Women contributed more than 120 calligraphies, paintings, photographs and embroideries, among other works. The items reflected the wisdom of the women, displayed Baoshan women＇s pursuit of beauty, and extended the women＇s best wishes to the World Expo 2010 Shanghai. The expo will open on May 1.
