海南省妇联干部参与抗风救灾行动

Hainan Women＇s Federation arranged for nearly 100 people, including women volunteers, executive members of the federation＇s Standing Committee, presidents of women＇s federations, at all levels, in Hainan Province, and officials from the provincial federation to help with disaster relief in South China＇s Hainan Province on August 4. The area was ravaged by super typhoon Rammasun on July 18.

《我国家庭教育指导服务现状调查报告》发布 Initial findings are in and, based on the survey＇s results, the Chinese Government plans to play a greater role in the guidance of family education across the nation. The Chinese Family Education Guidance Service Report was released -- by officials from the China Family Education Society （CFES）, the Department for Children of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, and the China National Children＇s Center （CNCC） during a news conference in Beijing, on September 15.     

晋中妇联庆三八“十业百星”颁奖晚会举行

Jinzhong （in North China＇s Shanxi Province） Women＇s Federation on February 24 held an evening party to celebrate International Women＇s Day （on March 8）. During the party, 100 women received awards for their contributions to promoting the city＇s political, economic, cultural and social development.     

女科学家高层论坛在昆明举行

The Women Scientists＇ High-level Forum, organized by the Women Scientific and Technological Workers Committee, under the China Association for Science and Technology （CAST）, the China Women Scientific and Technological Workers Association, and the Yunnan Women＇s Federation, was held on May 23, 2014, in Kunming, capital of Southwest China＇s Yunnan Province. The forum was part of CAST＇s 16th annual meeting.

Song Xiuyan, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All- China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, attended the Sino-Australian Workshop on the Protection of Women＇s Rights and Interests in Beijing on June 11, 2014. The four-day workshop （between June 10 and 13） was hosted by ACWF.

Song Xiuyan, Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, met Teresa Maria Amarelle Boue, General Secretary of Cuba＇s Women＇s Federation, in Beijing on March 18.     

全国妇联启动“家庭和美”短信、彩信征集活动

The All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） oil March 7 （on the eve of International Women＇s Day） launched the activity of collecting both short and multimedia messages that dealt with the pro,notion of harmonious relations amongst family members. The activity was sponsored by ACWF, with support from China Women＇s News, Women of China Chinese monthly, and China Society for the Study of Marriage and Family.     

长春市妇联着力构建婴幼儿早期家庭教育服务体系

Realizing that early childhood fhmily education is an important element of family education, officials of Changchun Women＇s Federation, in Northeast China＇s Jilin Province, in the last year have taken six steps to ensure the organization＇s work involving early childhood family education has developed in a scientific way.     

甘肃省开展《甘肃省性别平等促进条例》立法调研

A team from the Committee for Internal and Judicial Affairs （CIJA）, under the Gansu Provincial People＇s Congress, visited Dingxi and Baiyin （cities in Gansu Province） on September 16, to monitor the cities＇ implementation of the Law of the People＇s Republic of China on the Protection of Women＇s Rights and Interests. The team was headed by Wang Lan, Deputy Director of the Office of C1JA. Officials fiom Gansu Women＇s Federation accompanied the team.     

第五届中美妇女领导者交流对话会在美召开

On the sidelines of the fourth round of the China-US High-Level Consultation on People-to-People Exchange, the Fifth China-US Women＇s Leadership Exchange and Dialogue （WLEAD Dialogue） was held, in the US, on November 21. The event, with the theme ＂Women, Science and Education,＂ was co-chaired by the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF） and the US Secretary＇s Office of Global Women＇s Issues.
