后亚文化背景下青年的数字游戏消费出现了娱乐要求与游戏成瘾间的矛盾。新媒介的传播和文化产业的繁荣为当代青年对数字游戏的消费提供了载体和空间。国内数字游戏被"标签"为"毒害",消费数字游戏的青年被归为"反叛"的亚文化群体。多数研究者漠视数字游戏在满足青年娱乐要求方面的正价值,把各种负面效应特别是成瘾性看成是青年消费数字游戏的主要结果。其实,娱乐作为青年文化的时代标志才是青年对数字游戏消费的主流指向。  相似文献

近十年来年国内网络新闻事业发展迅速。随着网络电视、网络直播等网络媒体产品的大范围普及,网络媒体已经赶超报刊、杂志甚至电视等传统媒体成为传播范围最广的媒体。但是网络新闻报道中也产生了许多各方面的问题,其中过度娱乐化是网络新闻发展过程中比较突出的问题,尤其表现在体育等娱乐类网络新闻上。由于体育新闻本身的娱乐大众的性质,使其更容易产生庸俗化、商业化以及过度娱乐化等问题。另外网络媒体对经济利益的追求也促使了网络体育类新闻内容的变质,大量色情、绯闻信息是过度娱乐化的直接体现。  相似文献

据日本驻迪拜贸易机构最近公布的一份报告,1993年上半年,日本从海湾各国的进口贸易总额达121亿美元,而1992年同期为119亿美元。这份报告较详细地介绍了日本与海湾国的贸易近况。 l993年上半年,海湾各国从日本的进口贸易总额为47.85亿美元,而1992年同期为48.17亿美元,显然是下降了。 在日本从海湾国家进口的所有商品中,原油历来是第一位的。最近公布的这份报告表明,原油进口占其进口总额的76.6%。1993年上半年,日本从海湾国家进口了价值92.74亿的原油。而同期日本向海湾国家出口了价值17.l7亿美元的汽车,其中,向沙特阿拉伯、阿联酋、科威特、阿曼、巴林和卡塔乐出口的汽车价值分别为3.9亿美元、2.69亿美元、1.04亿美元、2.05亿美元和0.54亿美元。 这份报告强调:由于1993年初日元对美元的比价升值17.1%,日产商品价格上涨,使海湾国家从日本的进口额下降。沙特阿拉伯从日本的进口贸易额占整个海湾国家的44.4%,总价值为21.228亿美元,居各国之首,但与1992年上半年相比还是下降了15.7%,其中,汽车进口降幅为35.2%,纺织品为67.7%,矿产品为43.9%。与此形成鲜明对比的是,日本的电器产品(主要是录音机、录像机和彩电)在海湾各国市场上依然走俏,出口持续增长,且增幅较大,达11.6%。  相似文献

中国的传媒属性在历史上一直都是以政治属性为主,一直都被喻为"党和政府的喉舌",鲜少见到传媒的娱乐属性,传媒天然具备的娱乐属性在中国的传媒业在政治属性的掩盖下显得不明显。随着中国社会主义市场经济的确立和社会主义民主政治的发展,尤其是随着中国加入WTO,中国大众传媒的市场引导、商业取向、消费主导等倾向逐渐明显,传媒娱乐属性开始回归。本文试图以光线传媒为例,从产业理论的角度,分析当下中国传媒产业品牌的娱乐化现状,分析其传媒娱乐产业化成功经验,以期为中国传媒娱乐产业品牌化健康发展提出建设性意见。  相似文献

This article uses Manchester (England) as a case study to examine some relationships between the city and the popular culture that emerges from, or seeks to represent, this city. We focus on post-war popular culture that has been widely disseminated such as film, television and popular music. The article considers whether these examples of popular culture reflect wider urban, social and cultural change and discuss what impact this popular culture has had on changing the landscape and fortunes of the city. In particular, we discuss the case study of Manchester's popular culture in terms of ideas about place-based identities and social class. We consider popular culture in terms of de-industrialising Manchester through to regenerated Manchester. The paper concludes by discussing the possibility that the city centre of Manchester has become gentrified and considers the impact that this is having on popular culture.  相似文献

In this article, I show that Depression‐era popular opposition to gold standard orthodoxy had an identifiable impact on New Deal policy. Popular pressure was rooted in a political‐economic vision I call the “moral economy of money.” The moral economy of money included a critique of the gold standard and creditor classes and advocated a democratization of control over money and credit to restore social justice. Against many odds, Roosevelt narrowly defeated congressional majorities connected to popular groups bent on mandating Treasury currency issue. At the same time, he pioneered a discourse that became generalized in the following decades and discouraged a reemergence of the moral economy of money.  相似文献

In mainstream International Political Economy (IPE) writings on globalization, the multinational corporation (MNC) is placed at the centre of the emergence of a global market economy. Allied to this view is the normative position that these firms will have a positive, developmental impact on the states that they invest in. This article presents a gendered political economy perspective on the process of foreign direct investment (FDI), arguing that liberal IPE has failed to understand adequately the impact of the MNC on host states because of its attachment to ideas of rational action and modernization, and its assumption that the market is a gender-neutral space. By contrast, in this article, I argue that by looking at the gendered nature of recruitment practices within an MNC we are forced to confront the way in which firms work with existing inequalities embedded in the economy of the host state in order to secure a supply of low cost labour. The article presents case study research from an MNC operating in Malaysia, focusing on how company recruitment intersects with local social divisions based upon gender, ethnicity as well as age, rural–urban divides, class and education. I suggest that via its recruitment strategies, the firm plays a role in the construction of gendered and racialized inequalities. I argue that the MNC needs to be investigated as a site for the active construction of gendered identities across globalizing production lines, thus moving away from the traditional focus of feminist analysis of East Asian development on the experiences of the workers themselves.  相似文献

This article examines attempts by Marxist thinkers such as Fredric Jameson and David Harvey to explain the cultural transition from modernism to postmodernism by the economic transition from Fordism to post-Fordism. They argue that the movement of advanced industrial societies from standardized mass production to diverse flexible production has created a new culture that stresses difference, superficiality, and ahistoricality. But in their attempts to portray a synchronous development of economy and culture, these thinkers ignore the uneven developments between and within each realm. I argue that in the United States the popular arts like automobile design developed postmodern traits long before the high arts like architecture. Instead of this change in popular culture resulting from post-Fordism, it dialectically influenced this economic change.  相似文献

An overview of recent trends in research on the Indian nonprofit sector is presented. The material is not exhaustive of all research that has been conducted, but instead discusses effects of globalization on the literature. As used here, globalization implies the worldwide rise of economic liberalism, universal trust in political democracy, the advent of cultural universalism, relative erosion of the power of nation-states, and global embracing of capitalism and commodity culture. The following distinct effects of globalization are discussed: diverse policy debates on nongovernmental organization (NGO) roles in development, challenges to the credibility of India's most popular and debated theory of nonprofits, the emergence of a large volume of literature on environmental and women's movements and organizations, and the shifting of attention to the study of NGOs. A deliberate effort is made to identify the backgrounds of some of the authors discussed in the article to direct attention to differences in content of the writings of NGO officials, activists, scholars, policy analysts, development consultants, Westerners, and Indians.  相似文献

During the last decade, the phrase ‘visual culture’ has come to identify a variety of interdisciplinary approaches to the visual in everyday life. While analytic perspectives may come from gender, race or media theory, political economy, psychoanalysis, and so forth, there is an apparent agreement about the critical relation the visual has to subjectivity and social organization. The travelling of critical and cultural theory across disciplinary boundaries has given ‘visual culture’ an institutional form through new degrees, programmes, cross-faculty appointments, courses, introductory textbooks, and research publications. This paper comments on the intellectual history of ‘visual culture’, identifies cultural aspects of visual performance that have been understated in recent formulations of visual culture and visual studies, and argues that the current institutional form of visual culture research has contributed to the disappearance of cultural and anthropological approaches within visual culture. The paper is developed in relation to a case study involving popular photography as a cultural performance of the Canadian north, and considers the contribution of performance to visual culture.  相似文献

In this article we attempt to historicize and address the literary manifestations of the meaning and idea of home culture in the English domestic novel of the inter-war years. During this period, the cult of domesticity was avidly promoted by the government and popular magazines. We discuss how both houses and novels furnish a dwelling place that invites the exploration of private and social relations. In their turn to domestic space and the domestic interior, domestic novelists of the inter-war years inaugurated a turn to interiority, feminine subjectivity and the everyday.  相似文献
