纵向数据是随着时间变化对个体进行重复观测而得到的一种相关性数据,广泛出现在诸多科学研究领域。在对个体进行观测时,测量误差不可避免,忽略测量误差往往会导致有偏估计。本文利用二次推断函数方法研究关于纵向数据的参数部分和非参数部分协变量均含有测量误差的部分线性变系数测量误差(errors-in-variables, EV)模型的估计问题。利用B样条逼近模型中的未知系数函数,构造关于回归参数和B样条系数的偏差修正的二次推断函数以处理个体内相关性和测量误差,得到回归参数和变系数的偏差修正的二次推断函数估计,然后证明了估计方法和结果的渐近性质。数值模拟和实例数据分析结果显示本文提出的方法具有一定的实用价值。  相似文献

The autoregressive model for cointegrated variables is analyzed with respect to the role of the constant and linear terms. Various models for 1(1) variables defined by restrictions on the deterministic terms are discussed, and it is shown that statistical inference can be performed by reduced rank regression. The asymptotic distributions of the test statistics and estimators are found. A similar analysis is given for models for 1(2) variables with a constant term.  相似文献

In this paper the researchers are presenting an upper bound for the distribution function of quadratic forms in normal vector with mean zero and positive definite covariance matrix. They also will show that the new upper bound is more precise than the one introduced by Okamoto [4] and the one introduced by Siddiqui [5]. Theoretical Error bounds for both, the new and Okamoto upper bounds are derived in this paper. For larger number of terms in any given positive definite quadratic form, a rough and easier upper bound is suggested.  相似文献

An empirical Bayes approach to a variables acceptance sampling plan problem is presented and an empirical Bayes rule is developed which is shown to be asymptotically optimal under general conditions. The problem considered is one in which the ratio of the costs of accepting defective items and rejecting non-defective items is specified. Sampling costs are not considered and the size of the sample taken from each lot is fixed and constant. The empirical Bayes estimation of the Bayes rule is shown to require the estimation of a conditional probability. An estimator for conditional probabilities of the form needed is derived and shown to have good asymptotic properties.  相似文献

Craig's theorem on the independence of quadratic forms in normal variates is traced from its first form, for iid standard normal variates, to the form for variates following an arbitrary nonsingular joint normal distribution. This article gives the main thrust of the development and makes recommendations on coverage of the theorem in courses and textbooks. The history of Craig's theorem is not a happy one. The authors of the earlier articles in the literature tended to make errors of a linear-algebraic nature. Authors of more recently published textbooks have given incorrect or misleadingly incomplete coverage of Craig's theorem and its proof.  相似文献

In this article, four bivariate exponential (BVE) distributions with subject to right censoring samples are presented. Bayesian estimates of the parameters of BVE are obtained through Linex and quadratic loss functions. Gamma prior distribution has been suggested to reforming the posterior function. The estimations and standard errors of parameters have also been obtained through simulation method. Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method is employed for the case of Block-Buse bivariate distribution because there was no closed form for estimator criteria. Simulation studies have been conducted to show that the computation parts can be implemented easily and comparing the estimated values due to two methods and with the true values as well.  相似文献

In this article, we discuss on how to predict a combined quadratic parametric function of the form β H β + hσ2 in a general linear model with stochastic regression coefficients denoted by y  =  X β +  e . Firstly, the quadratic predictability of β H β + hσ2 is investigated to obtain a quadratic unbiased predictor (QUP) via a general method of structuring an unbiased estimator. This QUP is also optimal in some situations and therefore we hope it will be a fine predictor. To show this idea, we apply the Lagrange multipliers method to this problem and finally reach the expected conclusion through permutation matrix techniques.  相似文献

Econometric techniques to estimate output supply systems, factor demand systems and consumer demand systems have often required estimating a nonlinear system of equations that have an additive error structure when written in reduced form. To calculate the ML estimate's covariance matrix of this nonlinear system one can either invert the Hessian of the concentrated log likelihood function, or invert the matrix calculated by pre-multiplying and post multiplying the inverted MLE of the disturbance covariance matrix by the Jacobian of the reduced form model. Malinvaud has shown that the latter of these methods is the actual limiting distribution's covariance matrix, while Barnett has shown that the former is only an approximation.

In this paper, we use a Monte Carlo simulation study to determine how these two covariance matrices differ with respect to the nonlinearity of the model, the number of observations in the dataet, and the residual process. We find that the covariance matrix calculated from the Hessian of the concentrated likelihood function produces Wald statistics that are distributed above those calculated with the other covariance matrix. This difference becomes insignificant as the sample size increases to one-hundred or more observations, suggesting that the asymptotics of the two covariance matrices are quickly reached.  相似文献

The high-dimensional data arises in diverse fields of sciences, engineering and humanities. Variable selection plays an important role in dealing with high dimensional statistical modelling. In this article, we study the variable selection of quadratic approximation via the smoothly clipped absolute deviation (SCAD) penalty with a diverging number of parameters. We provide a unified method to select variables and estimate parameters for various of high dimensional models. Under appropriate conditions and with a proper regularization parameter, we show that the estimator has consistency and sparsity, and the estimators of nonzero coefficients enjoy the asymptotic normality as they would have if the zero coefficients were known in advance. In addition, under some mild conditions, we can obtain the global solution of the penalized objective function with the SCAD penalty. Numerical studies and a real data analysis are carried out to confirm the performance of the proposed method.  相似文献

Summary In the log-linear model for bivariate probability functions the conditional and joint probabilities have a simple form. This property make the log-linear parametrization useful when modeling these probabilities is the focus of the investigation. On the contrary, in the log-linear representation of bivariate probability functions, the marginal probabilities have a complex form. So the log-linear models are not useful when the marginal probabilities are of particular interest. In this paper the previous statements are discussed and a model obtained from the log-linear one by imposing suitable constraints on the marginal probabilities is introduced. It is known that the Henderson Method III (Biometrics 9:226–252, 1953) is of special interest for the mixed linear models because the estimators of the variance components are unaffected by the parameters of the fixed factor (or factors). This article deals with generalizations and minor extensions of the results obtained for the univariate linear models. A MANOVA mixed model is presented in a convenient form and the covariance components estimators are given on finite dimensional linear spaces. The results use both the usual parametric representations and the coordinate-free approach of Kruskal (Ann Math Statist 39:70–75, 1968) and Eaton (Ann Math Statist 41:528–538, 1970). The normal equations are generalized and it is given a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of quadratic unbiased estimators for covariance components in the considered model.  相似文献

Using relatively recent results from multivariate distribution theory, a direct approach to evaluating the inverse moments of a quadratic form in normal variables is proposed. Convergent infinite series expressions involving the invariant polynomials of matrix argument are obtained. The solution also depends upon a positive scalar which is arbitrarily chosen.
