庆祝曼谷北京“姐妹城市”二十周年

2013年初,曼谷市长素坤潘·帕里巴特拉亲王结束了他的第一个四年任期,之后再次当选,开始了他的第二个任期。曼谷市和北京市作为泰中两国的首都,早在20年前结为友好的“姐妹城市”,双方市政府曼排了一系列庆祝活动,以纪念两座城市的深厚友谊。     

回到家乡

Again I make the “around the world” journey back to my home, New York City. Having lived primarily in Beijing for the past four years, my internal bearing,my internal clock takes longer to realign with the new place, the new time （day is night） and the returning though momentarily unfamiliar culture.     

踏歌而行

春晚一首《时间去哪儿了》火了之后,我连续接到几篇约稿,题目都是一样,都叫《时间去哪儿了》。我回答说：“非常抱歉,没时间。”看看．挺幽默。     

女人三十要做的事

在商场顶层的咖啡卡座,我边喝咖啡边等人,身后传来一对女伴的对话,甲女轻叹,下个月我就三十了,这可真让人心烦,有些该见的人总抽不出空去见,有些要做的事一晃也就蹉跎了。乙女颇有同感附和道,以前觉得三十岁是下辈子的事,怎么一眨眼就过三奔四了,早知如此,当初就不该……

Mentorship is crucial to career growth; in addition to benefiting both those who mentor and those who are mentored （mentees）, mentorship helps organizations retain talent, maintain employee engagement and improve business acumen. Given the importance of this topic, I＇d like to use my next few columns to share some critical information. “没事,你们继续”。我十分佩服自己“临危不惧”的勇气,因为我此刻正面带微笑且非常冷静地说出这句话我迅速退出房间,转身飞快奔向电梯,眼泪哗啦啦地流,手猛按电梯键。但电梯似乎与我作对,迟迟还停在楼下没动。我想也没想就直奔楼梯方向去,也不管这里是二十楼。脑里总浮现出刚才那个画面。我最爱的男人此刻正与另一个女人躺在我睡过的床E。     

能为别人的错买单

第二天,我到了A集团公司找到老总,说明来意,他露出为难的表情。于是我胸有成竹地说：“我跟你说说她的一件事,你再考虑．”     

大雁已过居留期

宋妍在发愣,突然她被扑面而来的烟刺激得连打喷嚏,回过神,发现同事们手里都拿着烤串,吃得津津有味。四周风景独好,微风拂面,舒服得让人想要搭个帐篷,静躺着享受闲暇时光。唯有她心不在焉。同事们都要回上海总部发展,只有她留下来重新投入到找工作的队列里。

“超级红娘”，把甜蜜事业进行到底

“红娘我,笑哈哈,说成一对心开花,我是快乐的小燕子（老蜜蜂）,忙忙碌碌不在家,东奔西跑我不累,我把爱情的种子撒……”这是刘国英老人自编自唱的一段话,也是她27年来每一天的真实写照。从当年的“小燕子”到如今的“老蜜蜂”,刘国英老人以一颗善良、无私的心为3148对单身男女牵上了姻缘线,被人们誉为“超级红娘”。     

别了，书旧欢

搬入新家前,我和妻子分别将必需的家具列了个单,对照—下,发现我们都把书架排在了第一位。的确,书籍是我们最大的财富,举家南迁,三十多箱书籍跋山涉水托运而来。就凭这份情谊,也得给例门搭建一个像样的安身之所。最终敲定,书架是客厅里一排,书房里一排,加上主卧的一组书柜,看上去应该够用了。     

国际交流

At the invitation of Leul Gebreab, President of the National Union of Eritrean Women （NUEW）, Meng Xiaosi, Vice-President and Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women＇s Federation （ACWF）, led a delegation of Chinese women to pay a visit to Eritrea from June 8 to 10. Meng met Hagos Gebrehiwet, Head of Economic Affairs of the People＇s Front for Democracy and Justice （PFDJ, the ruling party in Eritrea）.
