Over two billion people use solid fuels for basic needs such as cooking, with consequences for the environment, human health, and social and economic development. In the Philippines, 65% of households use solid fuels for cooking. To better understand this phenomenon, this study uses spatial analysis and multilevel modeling to answer: (1) Are there spatial differences in solid fuel use for cooking in the Philippines? (2) What social characteristics are associated with such use? The study finds that both types of characteristics are significantly related to solid fuel use. Implications for social work policy, practice, and research are discussed.  相似文献

文化哲学泛化,使得文化哲学的基本性质和研究层面仍然是一个有待于解决的问题。三个前提决定着文化哲学的系统化及其基本性质和研究主题:现代化的逻辑演进以及总体现代化观念的产生,全球化的文化逻辑以及一种超文化形态——“世界文化”理念的生成,和文化发展的逻辑、文化总体性以及文化本体经验的凸显。这些根本变化,使文化哲学成为当代各种哲学形态的潜流和底蕴——文化哲学的理论形态只是这种潜流和底蕴的集中体现和自觉形态。文化哲学有三个研究层而,即哲学文化价值研究、文化形而上学和文化批判。因此,文化哲学是一种新的哲学形态。  相似文献

德国社会学创建的年代正值经典(自然)科学处于顶峰的时代。在唯科学主义观念的影响下,社会科学研究领域,尤其是社会学方面一度盛行因果一元论的决定论。为了改变此种状况,韦伯把“价值分析”引入社会学研究,设立了因果性说明与意义理解两种研究进路。这不仅弥补了方法论的不足,而且还形成了文化意义的社会动力学。凭借此种方法,韦伯最终较为合理地解释了西欧不同地区以及东西方的文化差异和社会现代性变迁问题,并为后人发明“轴心文明”概念和深化这一视角奠定了基础。  相似文献

一般认为,阿多诺的文化工业批判就是其文化批判的全部,但事实上,阿多诺的文化批判还包括对德国古典唯心主义文化观的批判.康德以来的德国唯心主义往往将文化作为纯粹的、完全独立于物质世界的精神存在,认为文化是与物质相比具有真正自由属性的领域.马克思在认同文化的自由属性的同时,强调文化以物质生产为前提.阿多诺继承了马克思的这一文化观念,并将其运用于对当代文化工业的批判之中.  相似文献

Using a new retrospective data set on young Filipino adults, this study aims to quantify the prevalence, risk factors, and mental health consequences in later life of childhood maltreatment in the Philippines. A survey was conducted with a sample of 155 adults (83 women, 72 men) aged 18–24 living in Quezon City, the largest metropolitan city in the Philippines. Findings show that four out of five young Filipino adults experience minor physical violence during childhood, while one out of four suffer severe physical violence. Boys from less educated families that grow up in urban environments face the highest risks. While we find a strong link between childhood physical abuse and young adults’ mental health, no such effect was found for experiences of psychological aggression. Childhood physical abuse was further found to have negative effects on young adults’ family relations, social relations, and overall satisfaction with life.  相似文献

This study analyses weblog abortion-related content sampled via a search and snowball method. When weblogs located inside of established media Web sites and other weblogs are compared, they are equivalent in the use of advocacy versus objectivist frames. Media weblog posts contain a political frame more frequently than non-media weblog posts do. In terms of diversity of frame, media weblogs employ more frames in their stories. Various explanations for these findings are offered in the context of current abortion-related content patterns.  相似文献

在 2 1世纪已经来到的时候 ,文化哲学的研究者在新的世纪应该有更新的思考和学术作为。为此作者提出文化哲学在新世纪的学术使命。文章第一部分主要从学科的对象比较与方法比较的角度 ,阐述文化哲学的学科定义和特征 ,认为文化哲学是哲学而不是文化学 ,认为文化哲学研究是哲学的事业。文章的第二部分认为 ,文化的根本特质是“生活”。作为人类的全部生活样式系统 ,文化具有自己的自足性特色和规定 ,在不同民族的文化中 ,哲学并不一定都是起决定作用的最重要的意识形式。所以 ,哲学是文化的派生物、附着物。探讨哲学的文化属性 ,是研究哲学的真正基础工作。文章的第三部分主要阐述哲学的研究对象———存在和理念———的文化性质。指出哲学理念实际上是文化理念 ,哲学的抽象实际上是文化的“合象”。文化哲学应该研究文化间的哲学冲突与融会的可能性。这一迫切的崭新事业 ,首先要求建构中国文化的当代基本哲学理念。  相似文献

以气论哲学为基础的中国气象文学在不同阶段一直都延续着对人与自然关系的思考:气象现象在先秦至汉代成为领会“天意”的重要途径;魏晋至唐的气象文学中则主要呈现为物候学的特征;宋以后的气象文学中,作为独立审美对象的“山水”面目被注入作者越来越多的主观情感;近代以来气象文学逐渐沦为气象科普之类的通俗读物。道、气、象是气象文学的基本范畴,雄浑、劲健、豪放、实境、含蓄、超诣等为其主要美学原则。倡导当代气象文学创作与研究,是跨越横于中国古代文学与现当代文学间不可逾越之鸿沟的有效途径。  相似文献

本文对北京市文化创意产业的发展进行了回顾,分析了文化创意产业发展的影响因素。在对影响因素进行定性分析的基础上,通过建立灰色关联模型进行定量研究,衡量各要素与文化创意产业的关系,研究结果显示政府政策、文化环境在北京市文化创意产业发展中起着较为重要的作用。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Aromatherapy is a complementary and alternative medicine practice with several distinct lineages and with some uncertainty about the most appropriate way to professionalize. The historical feminization of smell and perfumes means that aromatherapy is culturally marked as a “feminized” practice. This feminization is a mixed blessing in relation to aromatherapy's attempts to advance itself as a discipline. While for many practitioners and clients the traditionally feminized associations of smell, such as its connections to emotions, memory, and the unconscious, serve as a source of value, for others, feminized languages and practices stand in the way of aromatherapy's advancement as a scientifically validated discipline.  相似文献

This article addresses the issue of units of analysis and atomistic models in psychology taking creativity research as a case study. A classic typology in this area, initially proposed by Rhodes (1961), distinguishes between the four P's of creativity: person, process, product, and press (environment). Continuing an effort to rewrite this basic language of the discipline from a cultural psychological perspective in the form of five A's (actor, audience, action, artefact, affordances), the discussion here focuses on bringing relationships to the fore within this framework and problematising strict distinctions between each of the five elements. A closer look at the five A's of creativity, drawing on theoretical considerations and illustrated by interviews with creators working in different domains, reveals the permeable borders surrounding these units and challenges clear divisions between actors and audiences, action and artefacts, actors and artefacts. In the end, it is argued that creative phenomena cannot be properly understood and studied outside of their integrated and dynamic totality defined as a creativity complex. Implications of adopting this “molecular” perspective for theory and methodology are discussed.  相似文献
