Employees of the Shaanxi (in Northwest China) Women's Federation and lawyers with Yongjiaxin Law Firm on September 1 established the Shaanxi Women and Children's Rights-protection Center. It is based in the law firm's offices. The federation entrusted women volunteers from the law firm to receive calls from ACWF's hotline, 010-12338, and to provide advice to women on how they can protect their legalrights and interests.  相似文献

CCTF, Nestle Team Up to Improve Health of Newborns, Women
The China Children and Teenagers' Foundation (CCTF), on April 22, 2014, received a donation of 30 million yuan (US $4.9 million) from Nestl6 China to fund a project aimed at improving the health of women and newborns in China. The donation was made in Beijing. The project, entitled "1,000 Days Action for Newborn and Maternal Health," is intended to raise public awareness of the significance of the 1,000 days from conception to a child's second birthday, through various types of publicity and training. The nutrition-improvement program tbr children in poverty-stricken areas has been in place since October 2012. The program was established by China's Ministry of Health and the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) to improve the nutrition and physical conditions of infants and toddlers in distressed areas, and to raise parents' knowledge about feeding infants and young children. The program provides nutritional packages, containing protein, multivitamins and mineral supplements, to infants, aged between 6 months and 2 years, to ensure the youngsters don't suffer from malnutrition and anemia. Kejing, a town in Jiyuan, in Central China's Henan Province, is a mountainous area. Li Rui, a woman from the region, has dedicated her life to changing the once-barren mountain in Zaomiao, her home village (which is in the town's boundary), into an oasis. During the past three decades, she and Zhu Wen, her husband, have entered into contracts to plant trees on nearly 1,000 mu (164 acres) of barren mountain land. A special fund for premature babies under the China Social Welfare Education Foundation was launched in Beijing on August 8, 2010. It's China's first fund established to help premature babies. More than 20 million babies are born in China every year, 2 million of whom are premature. (Premature babies are defined as those who are born less than 37 weeks into pregnancy.) According to Ma Jianian, the fund's secretary-general, the fund is intended to raise awareness and promote scientific information about premature babies among women of childbearing age.
