将企业成长问题与资源依赖理论、社会关系理论相联系,认为社会关系可以为企业成长提供一定的社会资源基础.在理论界已有的"弱关系的力量"和"强关系的力量"假设基础上,提出了强弱关系均是企业成长可以依赖的重要社会关系类型,以及强弱关系重要性受限于企业的结构约束因素和组织因素的影响的假设.基于250个企业样本的实证统计分析结果支持了这些假设.  相似文献

通过多案例研究方法,对4家机械制造企业24位TMT成员的外部社会关系网络进行深度研究,将TMT社会关系网络中的强、弱关系进行了再定义和关系强度类型的细分。研究发现,TMT关系强度的划分存在互动频率、认识的时间长短、亲密性、互惠程度和交往物质投资5个维度;TMT关系强度存在强工作-强私人关系,强工作-弱私人关系,弱工作-强私人关系和弱工作-弱私人关系4种组合类型。  相似文献

技术创新是企业竞争成败的关键,是企业发展的关键因素。基于此观点,本文以部分北京市级企业技术中心所在企业2005--2007年的数据,横向、纵向分析了技术创新能力为企业创造的经济价值,同时通过定量分析,以折线图的方式体现了技术创新能力与企业成长性之间相一致的趋势走向,根据计算相关系数推导出技术创新能力与企业成长之间的强相关关系,为企业正确理解和运用技术创新能力进一步发展企业提供借鉴。  相似文献

基于组织二元性的理论框架,本文通过引入相对关系导向概念,发现新创企业在关系网络上的相对资源投入量与成长绩效之间是一种倒U型关系,而且在产品和要素发育不完善、地区产权保护水平较低的制度环境下,偏好关系网络的战略行为对创业成长的正向作用会更加明显。这说明,新创企业做到构建关系网络和增强创新性的二元性有利于创业成长,但外在制度环境会直接影响企业实施这2种战略行为的相对成本,从而决定战略二元性的回报结构。  相似文献

以转型经济环境为背景深入探究中国创业网络关系对新企业成长的影响,引入环境动态性作为调节变量,以期揭示中国情景在创业活动中发挥的具体作用。基于社会资本理论、资源基础理论和战略管理理论构建商业关系、政府关系、环境动态性与新企业成长之间的概念模型。借助SPSS 17.0软件对441家中国新企业的数据进行实证分析,采用回归分析技术对概念模型进行检验。研究结果表明,政府关系与新企业成长存在倒U形曲线关系,环境动态性对上述曲线关系具有负调节影响,即在低动态环境下,政府关系对新企业成长的影响作用有所增强;而在高动态环境下,政府关系对新企业成长的影响作用有所减弱。商业关系与新企业成长的关系只有在低动态环境下才呈倒U形曲线关系,而在高动态环境下,二者的关系呈U形曲线关系;另外,随着环境动态性的加强,商业关系与新企业成长的关系强度也随之增强。  相似文献

基于权变视角,整合社会网络理论和战略制度观,探讨了联盟网络对新创企业成长的影响,并考察了制度环境和行业环境的调节效应。以189家中国新创企业的调研数据为基础开展了实证检验。结果表明,新创企业联盟网络关系强度及中心性位置对其成长绩效具有显著的正向影响;制度环境完善性在联盟网络关系强度与新创企业成长绩效关系中发挥着显著的负向调节作用;行业环境动态性正向调节联盟网络关系强度与新创企业成长绩效间关系,却负向调节联盟网络中心性位置与新创企业成长绩效间关系。  相似文献

中国人长于创业,格兰诺维特认为创业者的一项重要职能就是要平衡耦合与脱耦,也就是关系结构要可紧可疏,关系范围要可伸可缩,这样才能一方面寻找机会,又有足够强的动员能力掌握机会。圈子现象可用于解释为什么中国人长于平衡耦合与脱耦。小圈子往往是一个人动员其人脉中的家人与熟人关系组成的小团体,因为熟人关系是人情交换关系,可以有较大的弹性,同时熟人可以从认识的圈外人发展而来,所以使得圈子的边界不封闭,圈子也因此增加了弹性。这样的弹性使得中国人的个人网关系结构可伸可缩,可紧可密。  相似文献

在我国,关系对于私营企业的生存具有战略意义.本研究以142家广东省私营中小企业为样本,研究了私营企业关系运作、关系认知和私营企业绩效之间的联系.研究发现,在中国经济转型过程中,私营企业家认识关系的重要性对企业的绩效并没有助益,联系的网络大、示好运作多会降低企业的绩效;私营企业家过年过节跑关系、宴请商务对象、回报交易方等具体的关系运作方式和企业绩效正相关.  相似文献

In this study, we draw upon insights from agency theory to examine the impact of managerial political ties on cost of debt and also to explore whether corporate governance mediates this impact. We hypothesize that political ties reduce financial reporting quality, disclosure of non-financial information and board independence, and are therefore associated with higher interest rates. We also hypothesize that the negative effect of political ties on the cost of debt will be stronger if firms borrow from privately-owned banks versus government-owned banks. Using data from Ghana, we find support for our direct and moderation hypotheses; political ties are associated with high interest rates and poor corporate governance. However, we do not find evidence of mediation. Altogether, the findings reveal the dark side of political connections and highlight the cost of political embeddedness in emerging credit markets.  相似文献

根据商业集团从属企业双重身份的特点,分析了其合法性的双元属性,并提出了合法性双元的概念. 在此基础上,文章将合法性双元解构为平衡和联合两个维度,分别分析了两者与从属企业成长绩效之间的关系,以及他们对从属企业成长产生作用的内在机理. 实证结果表明资源获取对联合维度与从属企业成长绩效的关系具有显著的中介作用,而平衡维度与成长绩效的关系未得到实证支持. 文章还进一步探讨了对合法性双元与从属企业资源获取关系的调节性因素,实证结果表明环境不确定性正向调节联合维度与资源获取的关系,而对平衡维度与资源获取的关系具有反向调节作用; 环境包容性反向调节联合维度与资源获取的关系,而对平衡维度与资源获取的关系具有正向调节作用.  相似文献

This paper explores the potential of big data, such as those compiled by the Google Books project, to inform the dominant theories of the firm that tend to be grounded on strong assumptions about the capitalist nature of the modern society. Combining the novel methodologies of the digital age with Niklas Luhmann's theory of functional differentiation, we draw on big data-driven abductive reasoning to redirect the attention of management scholars away from the dominant contract-based and competence theories of capitalist firms toward organizations navigating the regime of functional differentiation, which is marked by contingent and historically evolving prominence of individual function systems. We conclude that this navigation requires appropriate strategic management tools which are no longer primarily geared to the economic function system but rather entail a radical reconfiguration of the firm as a multifunctional organization.  相似文献

This study proposes and empirically tests a model of the moderating effects of internal integration and trust on the impacts of information, process and strategic integration with suppliers on firm performance using structural equation modelling and data collected from 261 manufacturing firms in Vietnam. The results show that all three types of supplier integration positively associate with firm performance. Internal integration enhances the impact of process integration with suppliers on firm performance, but does not moderate the impacts of information and strategic integration with suppliers. Internal trust has insignificant, positive and negative influences on the effects of information, process and strategic integration with suppliers on firm performance. The findings show that internal integration and trust play different roles in moderating the positive effects of information, process and strategic integration with suppliers on firm performance, which elucidates a possible reason for previous mixed findings on the relationship between supplier integration and firm performance.  相似文献

Environmental practices have not received as much research attention in emerging market contexts as traditional topics like quality. However, the importance of environmental practices for a firm’s production strategy has been increasing at an unprecedented level across the globe. Our research objective is, therefore, to investigate the interplay between environmental practices and quality in the pursuit of firm performance. Relying on 492 responses from Turkish manufacturers to test our hypotheses, we show that environmental practices directly improve the quality of products over and above the effect of quality management practices in emerging markets. Product quality, in turn, is important for increasing firm performance, acting as a mediator for the positive effects of environmental practices on performance. Thus, we reveal that product quality functions as an instrumental conduit between environmental practices and firm performance in emerging markets like Turkey where stakeholder pressures are weak, and regulations are often not properly enforced.  相似文献

Abstract

The literature on supplier integration’s (SI) impact on firm performance is intertwined with mixed findings in terms of definitional differences, study context, specific integration components, and the types of relationships examined. This study contributes to the supplier integration and firm performance (SI-FP) literature by investigating how and when supplier integration influences firm performance. Drawing on the relational view, the resource-based view, and the Dynamics Capability theories, we suggest that improvements in firm performance from the supplier integration perspective are dependent on gains in operational capabilities. We test this dependency with survey data from firms in Ghana, a developing economy. The results show positive significant relationships between supplier integration and competitive operational capabilities and between supplier integration and firm performance. Our results highlight the importance for managers in developing economies and elsewhere to improve their firms’ operational capabilities and competitiveness by investing in supplier integration. We also discuss implications of these findings for research.  相似文献
