At the Edge of the Frame: Beyond Science and Art in Social Work

Summary The central argument in this article is that social work hasalways been a practice at the fringes. The phrase is used inits best sense and in at least two meanings: (1) that socialwork has been at the edges of the mainstream of scientific discourse,not because of any intrinsic deficiency in the profession butbecause of the nature of the practice; (2) that, in the postmodernsense, social work has been a collage where science, art, rationalityand intuition, systematic and asystematic knowledge meet. Inthis latter sense, this article proposes, social work can representa very desirable convergence of paradigms that needs to be acknowledgedand celebrated. Perhaps the most significant contribution ofpostmodernism is that it accommodates this possibility.

Undisciplining Social Science: Wittgenstein and the Art of Creating Situated Practices of Social Inquiry

There are now countless social scientific disciplines—listed either as the science of … X … or as an ‐ology of one kind or another—each with their own internal controversies as to what are their “proper objects of their study.” This profusion of separate sciences has emerged, and is still emerging, tainted by the classical Cartesian‐Newtonian assumption of a mechanistic world. We still seem to assume that we can begin our inquiries simply by reflecting on the world around us, and by allowing our conceptualizations to guide our actions in our inquiries. Beginning our inquiries in this retrospective manner, however, means that our concepts and conceptualizations are both after‐the‐fact and beside the point, for ‘something else’ altogether is guiding us in the performance of our situation‐sensitive actions than merely our conceptualizations. We need before‐the‐fact, hermeneutically‐structured inquiries that can ‘set out’ inner ‘landscapes of possibilities’, to think‐with and to provide guidance, as we try in our more scientifically organized efforts to achieve socially desired outcomes in particular socially shared situations. Conducting such preliminary inquiries is thus an art, requiring not only judgment, but also imagination and poetic forms of expression aimed at creating such shared, inner landscapes among all concerned.

艺术直觉就是主体不借助于逻辑思维程序和经验积累 ,直接洞察某一现象的社会涵义、思想意义和审美价值的能力。艺术家具有这种特别敏锐的生活洞察力。艺术直觉的特征具体表现为感性性和情感性、模糊性和转化性、直接性和整体性。艺术直觉在艺术创造中的作用是十分明显的 ,在艺术创造的实施阶段 ,艺术直觉具有不可替代的作用。在艺术活动过程中 ,艺术直觉是在隐存状态中协助艺术家进行理性认识的。艺术直觉能够以“思维的感觉”帮助艺术家迅速准确地把握审美客体的本质和规律 ,并能够以“直接领悟”审美客体本质 ,帮助艺术家进行审美创造     

医学与艺术交叉融合,培养护生人文关怀素养

学院将医院与学校的资源有机整合,以提升学生人文关怀能力为出发点创新教学方法,设计艺术与医学交叉融合的课程体系.该文将2019年9月—2020年9月在校就读的81名护理学生作为研究对象,开展系统性研究,通过"大学生人文修养理解"的对比调查,以此评价护生人文关怀能力的成长及教学方法的时效性.     

A Social-Psychological Analysis of Physician-Patient Rapport: Toward a Science of the Art of Medicine

The interpersonal relationship between physician and patient involves a highly charged affective component. As a result, patients' satisfaction with medical care, their compliance with treatment regimens, and the outcome of treatment tend to be substantially related to their physicians' ability to satisfy their socio-emotional needs in the health care encounter. This critical aspect of health care is termed "rapport." While it is not yet clear exactly how rapport with patients can be achieved, evidence reviewed here suggests that a physician's ability to establish rapport with patients is at least partially dependent upon his or her communication skills, especially the ability to decode and encode nonverbal messages of affect. Implications for teaching physicians the elements of empathic communication are discussed.     

阿多诺论文化工业与现代艺术

阿多诺美学思想 ,是 2 0世纪西方美学最重要的一部分。文化工业和现代艺术则是阿多诺美学集中关注的两个对象。本文梳理阿多诺对文化工业和现代艺术的分析和批判。阿多诺的基本观点是 ,文化工业和现代艺术都是垄断资本主义发展的产物 ,都深刻地打上了垄断资本主义的烙印。但是 ,两者又具有重要的差异 ,即 :面对现实的压抑和内在苦难 ,文化工业放弃抵抗 ,为了商业的目的制造和肯定和解的假象 ;现代艺术却致力于表现苦难、坚持表达和解的非现实性和不可能性。阿多诺无疑更倾向于现代艺术 ,但他坚持认为应当同时进行对这两种现代文化形式的批判 ,批判的目的是保持对苦难的揭示和对自由的呼唤。     

略论戏曲艺术的发展——兼论毛泽东文艺思想对戏曲艺术的影响

中国戏曲艺术60多年来的改革发展,是无产阶级对戏曲艺术规律认识的不断深化过程,其改革发展深受毛泽东“推陈出新”文艺思想的影响。在文化艺术方面,毛泽东“以苏为鉴”,提出“百家争鸣”、“百花齐放”的方针,是一种彻底的辩证法思想。“推陈出新”既包含着客观普遍性、历史的具体真实性,又包含着生动直观性,把民族历史与民族传统的哲学、美学相统一了起来。今天,我们仍要不断地赋予中国戏曲艺术以现代的活力。     

壮锦艺术与现代服饰设计艺术的融合

壮锦的工艺特点在某种程度上限制了其在现代服饰中的发展,要使壮锦艺术与现代服饰工艺相融合必须深度挖掘壮锦文化,将其与现代时尚中的新型面料、裁剪方法、款式造型相结合,在现代服饰设计中运用壮锦的色彩和图案纹样。此外,还需要政府及高校共同推动壮锦艺术与现代服饰设计艺术的融合。

詹姆逊用意识形态批评分析了现代主义文艺及其研究中存在的意识形态,为我们展示了现代主义文艺及其研究中的意识形态的建构、宣传,及其对真实的遮蔽、歪曲.在此基础上,詹姆逊提出了正确对待现代主义文艺的做法:破除现代主义文艺及其美学的意识形态神话,通过历史化,恢复它们与其社会、历史文化语境的关系,从而科学、准确地把握现代主义.     

舞台艺术与政府行为

舞台艺术既有启迪教化的社会功能 ,又离不开政治、政府 ,她是大众的文化。娱乐舞台也是社会动员的有力武器 ,需要政府宏观调控。新中国成立以来 ,我国的艺术管理体制在文艺为人民服务、为社会主义服务 ,为满足人民群众日益增长的精神文化需要 ,提高民族素质 ,促进经济发展和社会进步方面做出了巨大贡献。但同时也存在着不可回避的一些弊端 ,这些弊端既影响文化社会功能的发挥 ,也影响艺术本身的繁荣。面对社会主义市场经济 ,需要进一步推进舞台艺术的管理和制度创新。在这种创新的过程中 ,要做到改善党的领导与优化政府行为 ,做到交易成本最小化 ,实行资产重组和强强联合 ,使艺术团体成为适应市场经济的法人实体和有效率的市场经营主体 ,同时要努力实现社会公平与效率的制度化

In this review of the genetics controversy the author restates the basic criticisms levelled at the so-called "classical" school of genetics by leading Soviet scientists in this field. He maintains that the theory advanced by Lysenko and his followers has proven itself correct over the past years and that it emerges as the only scientific theory of heredity. The journal from which this article is translated states that it is an expanded and edited stenographic report read at the All-Russian Conference of Chairmen of Departments of Social Science, November 1960, and is published for purposes of discussion.
